The Tinkerer WIP
I thought that I'd start with the nitty gritty of a WIP which is the sketch. This is from my little 3x5 traveling sketch book. Scanning it at 600dpi makes an image large enough for me to work in PhotoShop.
You can also see bits of my internal dialog. I was having a rather crappy time at a bar trying to talk to Portland's charming natives. At least I made something out of it =)

Very impressive .. I know that feeling hehe. I should totallly take a lil sketch book around with me Maybe I would actually draw more or atleast throw down some of my ideas I have while I am out and about instead of trying to remember what that idea was I got standin in line for the girlsroom and/or waiting for my wine lol

Thanks for the lovely comments!
I'm still in the process of working on all of the little objects and details. I usually go with the lighting and feeling first then force everything else in, but this time I'm going to put in some time grounding the picture in some tangible, tactile elements and environment and then work with lighting and such.
I'm working with the hand, but I'll probably change it back to the original, and I will de-cute the tinkered squirrel.
