Dominic smiled in the way that only parrots can, wondering how long it would take Rosa to find out what was in the hat !

Rosa glanced at the hat Dominic had left behind, then looked at the parrot asleep on his perch, completely gorged on premium crackers.. No... no, she couldn't keep this; it had been a gift from his beloved companion Captain Ginger Ears, and it wouldn't be right to take it away from him. She silently strode over to the perch and gently set the hat atop the green plumage of Dominic's head once more. "There, that's where it belongs," she said, before retiring back to her dark corner. The parrot continued to sleep peacefully.

Captain Blackwater came through the door, turning slightly sideways to fit his wide frame through. He picks a quiet table, near the fire so that he can at least dry out a little. He slips his boots off one at a time and pours the contents out on the floor. He waves a hand to the barmaid who brings him a glass and a bottle of rum. Leaning back in his chair with the bottle (what the heck is the glass for anyway?) he watches the door to see who comes through next.

Cai sauntered into the bar. She had seen the skunk and given it all she had unfortunately she had lost. She looked around and looked at all the pirates and just shook her head. She walked toward the bar and the bartender placed a bottle of rum on the counter for her. She turned searching for someone and spots them.
She walked over to the table and sits down and takes a huge swallow. "Well we knew this was going to happen. Let them all die for all I care maybe next time they shall listen to us." She tips the bottle and her head back drinking thirstly. She turns her head toward the door and waits for the other two Captains knowing the Skunk has them all fooled.

"Mon Dieu! Thees place is certainly getting busy. It is too cramped, too loud, and now too full of poo. Even the British aren't this feelthy. Surely I am in hell."

Dominic awoke to find he had poo on his head. This made him very grumpy indeed. He eyed Captain Piestewa suspiciously...

Dripping it what could only kindly be described as fluids, Nova, still drunk, stumbled into the tavern, looking blearily around as understanding slowly, very slowly, made its way through her unusually thick skull.
"Well. Shit."
Deciding that about summed up the state of affairs, she flopped gracelessly down in the nearest chair, making a delicious squishing sound and ensuring no one would ever sit there again. There was a half empty bottle of rum rolling gently from side to side on the floor; grinning, she picked it up and finished it off, not caring if it didn't taste quite right. Feeling better already, she looked to her left, only to meet the stare of the one she knew only as 'pretty birdy'. Such a good little birdy. Nova smiled.
"Here pwetty birdy..." She slumped over, the better to fish around in her pocket. "Mommy's got summing for ya...shiny thing...'f I can finnit..." At first she thought she wouldn't be able to 'finnit', but eventually her searching fingers collided with something hard and pointy, and she yanked out her hand, triumphant. Grinning, she held it out to the pretty parrot. "There. Jus like I promished. Is yer shiny! Givin' it back t'ya, 'cause..." Nova hesitated. "Er. I forget."
Hicupping loudly, she waved the object, which looked to be in the shape of an eight point star, in what she hoped was an enticing way under the parrot's beak.

Dominic looked at the shiny thing.
Dominic looked at Captain Piestewa.
He looked at the shiny thing again.
"BWAAAAARK! Well. Shit. BWAAAAARK!"
With a flurry of feathers, Dominic swooped down, grabbed the object, swooped up, and landed on the captain's head. There he perched, content, with what can only be regarded as a smile of humoured disbelief on his face. "What a turn up for the books, eh?", he would have said if someone else had said it first.
