Maybe Mafia and the SK went for the same person?

Maybe it's a doctor save again, and they're fucking with us?
That'd be mean :X. But I think I did that once or twice in various mafia games I modded. And I'm pretty sure Patrick (played Haunted Mansion iirc) did it all the time.
Or Lemmy could be right.
*hides* You can't kill me if I am hidden!

Maybe the doctor sent another save in? But, I figured he/she was in the locker.
What a head scratcher....I expected to be dead this morning. I think it is/was a good thing we lynched Captain Cleene and I stand by my statement, but my initial smart ass retort was just because he voted for me and said I was a bad guy.
Nice going Mods! Yardarm Cliffhanger indeed!

Yar... am guessing the Mafia and SK went for the same person and the doc made a save.

Okay well... stuff I can see from today's hit.
No clue who was just saved. I think I can rule out myself though, as Kobuksons traditionally weren't boarded, owing to their covered decks with spikes. They usually got blasted apart.
Although the Mafia hit doesn't specifically mention the number of attackers it would appear to be a one-on-one or two-on-one. The hit mentions "a boarding party." However, it doesn't say where the boarding party was dispatched from. Then the Captain's own vessel sails away, but did the other one sail away as well? So we either have one ship taking control of another, or we've got a ship (or two) who were carrying men enough to man another one after capturing it.
So confusing!

I'm not sure the doc saved anyone, myself. Seems to me both Mafia and SK picked the same person, and like the first hit both are getting a go at them.

Ahhhh... you have a good point there.

Perhaps the mafia and SK targeted each other and are having a fight?
Although, I think that in such occasions the mafia wins because they get their hit first.

*nods* That's correct, MEC.
Except when the Godfather SKIDS the SK, the SK SKIDS the Godfather, and the Doctor SKIDS the SK...
...but shit, that's crazy talk right there!

:( Man I thought the doc mighta got another save....well, hoped anyway.
I'm not finding much. I'm guessing no one else is either...or its all going on in PMs at this point.
Mafia:
Snow Dragon's flag:
If it's a red flag, what color is the heart?
Devilish Mary also has a heart, this one is clearly stated as being red, though.
For the SK I guess all we know is that their ship is smaller than the viking shipwreck...but we've no idea how big that was.

Mafia:
The black hearted victors turned their own cannons against them.

Red Flag with an hourglass and heart pierced by a spear

Does this merely mean another pirate, or another man, or another of his nationality?
the Captain was greeted by one of his kind

this is just so wicked it is almost torturous...
Veri I wondered about the heart being black against the red field as well. Only way that would show up is with a border around it? Or maybe that is the point, it doesn't show.
It would seem to me that whoever is being referred to has known the feeling of losing a ship by the bit about the captain going down with the ship. There are several who were on ships that were taken over or mutinies were a part of their claim to fame. But then the expectation of the captain going with his ship is pretty standard.
however, here goes: under the auspice of "In for a penny, In for a pound"....
I found it interesting that starvation is only mentioned in Captain Morgan's bio and I found the bit about dressing like a noble might keep the seamstresses and lace makers employed. He also fits if the nationality is the commonality bond for his own kind. His crew is well fed thus all the references to the food mentioned in one of the hits. I note too that the SK does not speak 'roughly' or inarticulately.... elegantly perhaps? I don't see the use of the term 'Daddy' particularly fitting other than the mention of the baby he supposedly ate and the dear old dad reference unless he was being very sarcastic which usually goes hand in hand with ruthless? He also knows about mutiny and take overs although I do see little evidence of humor mentioned. A Fair captain but not funny That bit about the saltwater in the wounds has continued to bother me, too.
If I'm anywhere close to right, I'll go ahead and wave bye now /wave

I really have no idea tonight. :) I think a go at the SK might be wise, as I've got nuthin' on the Mafia at the moment. All I can think is maybe the method of stealing a ship has something to do with it?
So looking at previous days, who has a lot of stuff poiting at them? I SUCK AT CLUE FINDING! ;)
I think I'll go through previous night OOC and collect up all the SK clues. :)

Hello! It has come to my attention that I have been "behaving suspiciously", mostly due to my uncharacteristic silence.
Yes, I have been talkative in previous games. That's because in the previous games, I was mafia and it is delightfully fun to to cause all sorts of mischief. I get bored as a townie, especially when no one talks to me (which they haven't) and when I can't find any clues (which I can't). I haven't said much because I just don't have much to say. I haven't come up with any clues that convince me of anyone's guilt, and I'm not mafia so I'm not going to just start making stuff up.

Well in that case, I sincerely appologise for your lack of involvement! ;)
Why vote for me with no clues?

From day 4 mafia hit:
"Like crackers to a parrot that you want to speak, gold was a powerful motivator."
You have a parrot (who likes crackers) that talks. This seems like a pretty damning clue.
However, on day 5's mafia hit we have this:
"Insult to injury this day was like sea salt in the wound."
and in my bio I have:
"The sounds that the man made when his open wounds were exposed to the salty seawater were the inspiration for the ship's new name: The Screaming Man."
That seems equally damning, and I'm not mafia, so I really have no idea what sort of clues we are supposed to be looking for.
