How do the other states view this? I would love to be able to find my logon to an old parenting messageboard I used to visit, as I am sure they would be absolutely beating themselves apart over her. She is like the perfect answer to the whole 'not enough women in high level politics' debate but all those god-fearing loopy twits would be incensed about her daughter and being preggo and trying to offset that against being rabidly anti-abortion. Is McCain respected? He isn't getting much press down here, its all Obama and Palin unless I watch some cable news channels on my pay sub.

Uh none one knew who the hell she was until now. At least I didn't. But then again I didn't know who Obama or Biden was either til now. They sure are making one big stink about this shit. Is it over yet?

pretty sure shes a big deal because nobody ( cept alaskans) had the slightest clue bout this lady, including prolly a good portion of politicians and media. I imagine that not only is she the most feminine thing theyve ever seen on a presidential ticket ( yeah HC is not) but shes like, blue collar and stuff omg!

So yeah I think that theyre ( media) just in total shock and awe that this nobody theyve ever heard of who happens to be completely different from anything else in washington at the moment is up on stage with a presidential candidate.

I read a lot of comments, mostly bad but a few good, about her acceptance speech last night.

The speech Mr. Biden gave was arrogant and offensive, at least to me. I felt a bit insulted. If my TV was cheap I would have kicked it. I wish that these people, and their supporters, could behave like adults instead of 9th graders in a popularity pissing contest...and by that I mean anyone, either side, acting like a fucking dick.

I couldn't understand bringing up the hubby's DUI from 22 years ago... what the hell does ancient history have to do with her running for VP now?
