I dont know, that guy, brant or whatever was a jackass for the entire thing.. mostly targeting politics or the jonas brothers.. I think he was out of line more than a few times.
It woulda been a funny joke if he mentioned it once and let it go, but he didnt..
I married the only guy ive ever had sex with.. not in the proper order hehe, but it happened the way it did and here I am.. I dont think marraige is all about sex, and I think people are likely to improve, learn and experiment with time, so I can respect those who want to wait.
Hi. It was a friggin joke.

Purity rings. Know what? That’s awesome if you want to wait but hi2u - it was a fucking joke.

But Jordan Sparks didn’t see it that way.

At ease, cadet!! So what is she saying, anyone who doesn’t wait until marriage is a slut? Listen - if you’re going to wait, that’s awesome sauce, but get the fuck off your high horse about the people who make a responsible decision to not. No blanket statements. Yes, we know it’s about faith. Yes, we’re proud that you’re trying to stay a virgin till you’re married. Yes, you don’t want to test the waters and marry a guy who fucks like a fucktard.
Ok I take that back, maybe you do. O_o

Yeah dude isn't funny in the least. It was awkward just watching that youtube clip.
As far as people waiting - that's cool. I respect a person who can wait until marriage. Why someone would want to seems a bit archaic to me but I'm going to bust their balls just because they are. I just think this whole thing got blown out of proportion.

I agree, it is way out of proportion.. to the point where theyre actually debating it on news talk shows, wow.
I was kinda proud of Jordin though for sticking up for her beliefs and not being afraid to say somthing , which had to be daunting in that setting, good for her!

I agree about the whole standing up for ones beliefs, anyone that can do that wins major props .. most people just take it up the pucker face and goes on about their business as if it never happened

Jordan Sparks is an American idol winner - which season I have no idea but apparently she was the youngest at 17. She sings that song 'No air' with Chris Brown, I think.

Yes "No Air" is by Jordan Sparks. As for purity rings.. a great idea. Guys who don't wanna deal with a potentially frigid wife can avoid dating them, same for women who wanna avoid a guy who won't ever be able to get them off right. I mean umm.. for people who want to abstain for their beliefs. If you really believe it then its great and more power to people who choose that but hell no way could / would that be me.

Post VMA - (superficial.com)
British comedian Russell Brand has been asked to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards after giving the network a 20% ratings bump over last year's show. However, he's reluctant to accept after MTV censored some of his jokes aimed at Republican presidential candidate John McCain. Russell sat down with The Sun to talk about his experience:
On the gravity of hosting the VMAs:
"The VMAs are the hardest thing I have ever done and I will think very carefully before accepting their kind offer of doing it again. I spent a lot of time suppressing the urge to scream a career- ending remark during the show. The knowledge that you could say something that would make the world go nuts was difficult.â€Â
On being censored:
But incredibly the script we heard was the clean version after MTV insisted he scrap some of his bravest gags. He revealed: “I had JOHN McCAIN gags pulled. And they asked me to tone down the gags about SARAH PALIN."
On what he couldn't say about Sarah Palin:
“I wanted to say she was forcing her teenage daughter to have a baby because she is so anti-abortion. But also, as a Republican, she is pro-execution so she is going to give her the electric chair for being a little sl*t. They weren’t keen on that one."
Somewhere Bill O'Reilly just fell in love with MTV. Unfortunately, he can't do anything with that love until Rush Limbaugh gets back with the Mexican Viagra. Life's a bitch sometimes.

I do think it's pretty cool that they're standing up for and symbolizing what they believe in (not that they invented it, and IF they're not just doing it to look good in public). They could be symbolizing something a lot less appealing, to be sure. I have gotta say, if I had married the first guy I had sex with, BEFORE I had sex with him... I'd be a miserable bitch today, or divorced... or both! :yes

but would you have had sex with him, knowing that meant youd have to marry him first?

Good question :) I can sit here on my high horse and say "of COURSE not!" but at this point, I tend to doubt it would be the case.
*shakes head* BOY was he a disappointment. He was so cute, too...

MTV said they had fired him once before, but gave him a second chance..
But it turns out that Brand’s wild ways have gotten him in deep trouble before  he was even fired from the network that has given him his fame today. Brand’s first major hosting gig was as a veejay for MTV in the U.K., but he thought it would be funny to come to work dressed as Usama bin Laden after 9/11. His contract was consequently terminated.
"We then hired him back in a swirling haze of scandal," Van Toffler, the MTVN president, said in a statement earlier this year. "We’re definitely gluttons for punishment, since we already know he’s sought advice from some of his British colleagues, like Amy Winehouse, about how to behave in public."
