This is so not true. Dogs have a much stronger odor about them than cats do.

LOLcats is one of the few websites I go out of my way to leave up and visible on my screen.
Since the phone changeover in May, our screens get recorded every 10 minutes, and also constantly when we're on the phone. So maybe whomever views me will get a chuckle.

I beg to differ on this!
Cats have a strong distinct odor to them that I simply just cannot tolerate personally=(

Well if you don't change the kitty litter, your crib is going to smell like shit, yeah. We have a dog and she doesn't smell. But then we bathe her. We had 3 cats and we kept the kitty litter hidden and cleaned, you'd never know if not for the fat furball that would come up and try and love on you. The other two would just hide or hiss.

Neither of our cats smell.
They're both indoor, fixed, and bathed regularly. We also don't feed them fish or table scraps (99.9% of the time. Sometimes they get nibblets from Thanksgiving table). The litterbox is cleaned daily and is mostly hidden. We also vacuum regularly.
I had to investigate an apartment of a family friend who had died. His apartment was never cleaned or vacuumed or anything, and the cat had never been bathed, so when I went over, my eyes swelled, nose ran within 2 minutes, and I sneezed for hours after leaving - even WITH claritin and sudafed.

Ferrets, like skunks, retain an odor no matter what you do. We hand raised a pair of orphan baby skunks when I was a teenager, and even after having their scent glands removed, that odor they have was still in their skin. But it was tolerable, and after a summer with the little critters I got to where the smell doesn't bother me much, unless I'm right on top of somewhere they've sprayed.

LOL - yes, but worse still was the time a cat got into it with a skunk under my bedroom window! I didn't think the smell would ever go away. It was so strong it made my eyes water, as if I'd been sprayed with mace! Ugh.
