Eddie murphy is the one that bugs me.. I lie the other two.. but after watching Meet Dave" the night before last.. I just cant picture it lol. Edward Norton or someone not seen often.. doesnt have to be a comedian to play the Riddler.. imho. I would think being able to be brainy would beat over funny.. specially in a dark film like these.
I could see Shia as Robin.. also whatshisname.. spiderman.. could maybe do it.. maybe even dude from die hard 4.. apple guy (maybe). Hes gotta be a lil bit dorky though and at the same time able to do action.
Rachel Weisz.. maybe.. I was suprised when Michelle Pfeiffer pulled it off.. and she did it really well, so Rachel proly could as well so long as she can be dark.

Eddie Murphy as the Riddler has got to be pure bullshit, but I’m not thrilled with Shia “I’m in every fucking movie” LaBeouf as Robin and Rachel Weisz as Catwoman. I’d rather seen her in the Mummy part whatever than this. She’s an incredible actor but…/shudder. LaBeouf is too funny, in that goofy awkward way, to be in Nolan’s version of Batman. This shit needs to be dark, painful, and not Sam Wicwicky.

Angelina Jolie as the Catwoman would have been a good choice, but an obvious one I think. I'll be surprised if they don't eventually end up with her doing the movie.
For Robin - I don't know. I wish they didn't focus on the 5'8 actors. I know Robin is suppose to be young, but I didn't think he was suppose to be that short. I haven't decided yet who'd be a good Robin.

I actually think Rachel Weisz would make a good catwoman myself. Not an obvious choice, but totally capable of the role IMO.

Murphy just sounds like they're trying too hard to be different by doing the same thing Marvel has been doing with cross-color casting (Kingpin and Nick Fury, for example).
Never really considered 5'8 to be short. More average-ish? But next to Batman, he's gotta be less imposing. Which generation Robin are they going for? Grayson? Todd? Drake? Obviously not the female versions. Shia just doesn't really strike me as the acrobatic type, and really doesn't seem to be a good match for a Dick Grayson Robin/Nightwing.
