Why?!
I'm trying to do a sig for a guildie (this is no where near finshed btw) but I'm missing like half the textures for the cloak, and the undershirt on the bp doesnt look right either. This is the first time Ive used Wildenlander, but I have similar issues with other outfits too, like Domino and Oldessa's treasure. Is it a problem at my end, and if so how do I fix it, or is it something not right in the zip files?

I get strange pattern mixup ssues when my computer thinks Im working it too hard.. sometimes I need to just save and reload the program.. and make sure I havent got PS or PSP or itunes or anything running while loading the scene.

looks like you're trying to use poser mats in dazstudio.

I tried all three MAT files :( But I could have sworn I got this outfit from DAZ, surely there would be a DAZ setting :S
It's not lighting cos I haven't touched the lighting yet...I literally just loaded M3 and that outfit, nothning else yet.
I also had nothing running while I had DAZ open cos it crashes sometimes otherwise.

Tried that specular change but nothing...its it is using wrong mat file or something, I dunno about these things.
Can see the problem better from the back...

yeah I would check the file and make sure its using the right one.. if its not you can hit Browse in daz (under surfaces and Diffuse there should be a drop down menu) and see if you can change it.. otherwise I would try deleting the cloak and reloading it, it might just have gotten bugged when you loaded it up for whatever reason.

in the surface settings, can you add the file it's supposed to be referencing? I run into something like that at times, usually with it beeping loudly at me going 'i can't find this file!' I've not used this outfit at all yet. Have you also tried re-installing off the daz installers? I've noticed that it makes a difference if i install the dpc file before the specific ds file too - especially with the older stuff. Also... it looks way too glossy. I've learned that the fix for that is almost always turning up the gloss to like 95% for stuff made for poser.
Good luck! *hugs and hugs*

turning up the gloss really just makes the area of the gloss smaller, rather than making it less glossy. Rather than that you can lower the specular to a darker color, and lower the specular strength to maybe 50 or so.

I've tried all that too, except reinstalling it cos I only reinstalled everything again like a month ago. I'll maybe have to try that.
As for the glossiness and specular stuff, I didnt adjust any of that yet cos as soon as I loaded it and had this problem Ive done nothing else to it :)

you're definitely loading poser matfiles isntead of DS mat files.
just cause DAZ sells it doesn't mean it has to come with DS mat files. I'm pretty sure that outfit is a PA item so its up to them to include DS mats or not.
as for the cloak, did you bork the UV setting or something in the surface tab?

Im using the same set in a comission now, and in Daz as well, and the mats seem to be working fine for me (though the gloss settings are always goofy on it, maybe cause its so old they never bothered back then , i dunno)
