Christian Bale - king of losing his shit
Ok so, as you may or may not know, christian bale is playing John Connor in the new Terminator: Salvation movie (he plays john at the start of the actual machine war) and during filming, they were doing a scene and the Director of Photography was walking around the set and into bale's field of vision.
well, bale just totally lost his fucking mind and went ape shit on the guy... and i mean, i've had me some good pissed off curse-filled tirades before, but goddamn this is actually kind of awe inspiring:

I dunno if i'd call him a jerk or not...
The guy went from weighing almost 200 pounds, dropping down to 113 for a role where he was playing an insomniac anorexic, and then bulked up to play batman after like 4 months... the guy takes his job fucking seriously.
You get someone that is that serious about their profession and your gonna have something like this happen sooner or later.
I just took the whole thing as Bale trying to be 'in the scene' and taking it very seriously that hes trying to be a dude whos supposed to be the leader of the last remnants of human resistance after the apocalypse... and the DP walking around fiddling with the stage lights was throwing him off and he just blew up.
He was in the "zone" so to speak - That is the absolute worse time to mess with someone or throw them off.

and then just losing it all together.. Totally uncalled for and rude and I wouldnt have blamed tha tpoor actress who had to have been standing right there for wanting to give it up for the rest of that day if she did.. talking about ruining the moment lol.

I dont blame Bale at all. as i understand it, this had happened with the DP a couple times before and on this one he went off.

Yeah, 4 minutes of losing his shit. Talk about humiliated. He did apologize afterward and apparently he and the guy were cool right after. Ron Howard did Howard Stern's show (i think) and said his daughter Bryce (played Bale's wife in T4) told him about that the evening it happened and even she was shocked, but apparently it was the more 'intensely emotion scene' the movie had and dude fucked it up.

I get what your saying, but that type of reaction isn't acceptable. He didn't just blow up, he blew up then extended it for 4 minutes. It wasn't like a quick
"Holy fuck asshole stop doing that" - it was 2 and a half minutes into a tirade he started threatening to kick his ass. It's really just unacceptable, and I've never flown off like that and I do have a temper - I've gotten upset, but that was ridiculous.

This was during the same time he had that fight with his mom and sister after they demanded like 200k or something from him. I'd be pissed too =/ Still, 4 minutes and saying the F bomb like 38 times? That's extreme 'in the zone'.
