Hey you oh experienced with character creation peoples...
Okay. There is a lady living in my brain right now, and I want to turn her into a character. I'm not worried about texturing her right now, I have that pretty down pat. What I'm dying to know is.... how do I save her morphs (dialed in) that I spent hours tweaking, and how do I remove them? I've been looking all over for help, and even if it's a book you can refer me to, it'd be appreciated
I'm using poser 7, Daz's Victoria 4.2 (I believe) for this project.
I have access to:
Notepad ++, Morph Manager, Injection Magic
Only one I actually know how to use (all obtained today) is Notepad ++
I have a whole slew of programs that may or may not be helpful, but I HAVE to get this woman out of my brain and saved for later.
I'll give cookies.
Any help is appreciated... I don't even know if I'm in the right forum! I've frazzled my brain trying to figure things out.

I don't have any of those, but there are a few different methods from what I gather. Vex has a tutorial on her site here: http://vexiphne.net/blog/poser/creating-a-custom-morph-in-poser/ which is easy to follow.

If its a dialed in morph, you can only sell morphs created with the RNDA Merchant resource morph kit.

Nope... not selling! =) It was helpful, thank you! I tend to want to make the characters/textures once but since I know I'll use them over and over, I want to be able to make the re-use of them and changing out morph settings as easy as possible. Work now so I can be lazy later.

Okay... now I've gone and purchased those morphs incase I do ever want to sell..... but now I've done gone and broken into Zbrush and am experimenting with morphs there >.< I'm becoming obsessive. Thanks again for the help!

Is there a page or whatever that has rules for these things? Why do so many characters require morphs+++ ? I don't get it, since if they aren't used in the dialing of a character, why are they needed?

Haha Ok I have a question. After I sculpt V4s head and export the obj back into Poser and I have a few different dialed in morphs, how do I combine then into one?

That's a good question! I don't know myself unfortunately, but I'm hoping one of the pros will answer since well... I have the means to do so too.

anyone know? I guess it'd be along the lines of getting the morphed character you created ready to sell? I really want my old daz3d characters to use in daz4, but I don't have their cr2s I guess it is?

Did you get the custom morph to show up? I finally sat down and read through the included tutorial and that one you linked above and I can't get the custom morph to show up at all - just the daz ones. I selected them (trying with Samson, injected genesis with his head/body INJ) and I get no community tab like they said I would. /shrug Sent the guy an email on RMP with the same question.

Bottom left hand corner, the little + sign, select Character Preset in the pop up menu. Worked for me - and I figured out how to do the custom morphs. Man, they left out steps.

I too need to do this. Except across machines. I have characters that were created for rp people and I want to move those over to my pc. Running DS 3.1 on the macbook (X.4.11) and DS 4 on the win7 pc. All I get are tons of errors, even after copying my runtime (laboriously) from the macbook to my pc. I really would like to pull the textures as well. I get that I might have to resort to manually copying them, but god I hope not.
