Oh I'm not sure if you can buy the older versions of Photoshop anywhere - did you try contacting Adobe and seeing if they do? I'd be wary of ebay or something like that.

yea >.< only thing i gotten off ebay was 5 bucks so wouldnt be a big lost lol .. i'll have to try and contact them :D

Can tell ya right now from having dealt with them recently, don't bother. They won't even offer support for the older versions, so I seriously doubt they would sell them to ya. Not to mention you'd be dealing with someone from India who would probably not understand what you want in the first place *rolls eyes* I hate how everything is freaking outsourced now.

Bought mine back when it was the newest version. Getting CS4 is gonna be your best bet at this point if you want it brand new and guaranteed yours ;)

My father had PS 4 back in the day and upgraded to PS7, when he found out that I used it, he transferred his copy over to me so legally it's mine now (cool!). I upgraded to CS2 back when it came out, but haven't upgraded to CS4 yet - too rich for my blood right now.

I bought PSE7 recently and it does everything I've needed it to do so far (i'm not very PS savvy anyway lol). I downloaded brushes from obsidian dawn and they work fine in it. I used to have PSE4 and it worked great too. I only upgraded because I left pe4 on my old comp and Adobe were being wankers and wouldnt let me redownload it even though I had the serial code. So I got the boxed version of pe7 this time, just to make sure!

you might try a local used book store or game stop or something, sometimes they get new/never used programs, though its prolly a stretch.

ok broke down (i really didnt like elements lol) and went back to ebay .. found a seller that was a power seller and had almost 5k pos feedback and just gonna pray i get what i paid for lol. was a unopen photoshop CS2 for 160 , hubby said i could it get it and it'll just be my B-day gift from him ^_^ as for sending an email to Adobe lol that is a joke as i got an email (1 week later) saying my problem has been fixed.... *roll eyes*

Back when Paint Shop Pro was going through its horrid version 8 phase, I got a version 7 on Ebay and never had any problems with it at all. I've bought a bunch of different things on Ebay and never experienced anything bad. Hope your experience is just as good! :D
