There was a pub in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island here in Washington that served up samples of their booze. Mike and I weren't beer lovers at the time (nor really now to be honest) but we ordered it up with our friend Eric and wow - he got snookered lol.
I like amber beers, but I could never get into the motor oil type beers like Guiness. =(

Lets talk beer.
I just had La Finde Du Monde tonight and I have to say - wow - two thumbs up.
Last week I was in Bend and toured the Deshutes Brewery - I got to try a new Spelt Wheat beer they're working on and it was pretty awesome - not to mention tons of free samples.
What craft beers have you tried that you simply have to share?

Think the only kind of beer I ever drank that I actually finished was from tap.. but I dont care for any that ive had. Im not much of a drinker. When I do drink its usually to get pretty drunk, which means hard liquor or polishing off a couple bottles of champagne by myself, and Ill only do that if there are no kids around for the night.

At work we have a mexican restaurant and bar that serves all kinds of unique stuff. I don't know beers very well so I just order what someone else is having to try, it's been an okay way to get to know beer. Unfortunately I can't sit there and drink four or five beers and then go back to work like -some- people, so it's a slow process. So far I've learned that I like the dark beers but not the amber ones, I enjoy a hoppy beer, and I like the girly summer wheat beers. So far my favorite has been a black and tan.

I'm typically not a dark beer person I guess - I go for ambers, reds and wheats (specifically hefeweizens)

there is a Pizza Pub here in Anchorage , Moose's Tooth.. know ya been there Roz =P , They have their own brew isnt to bad but I am not that big of a beer drinker either hehe I like sissy froufrou drinks like Tequila or Rum/coke! lol

Southern Tier = win. If anyone here is able to get their hands on some Pumking, I highly recommend it. My coworkers and I have been camping the liquor stores for like a month waiting for this stuff, because it is delicious.
They also make a fine raspberry stout, a creme brulee that is MMM, and...actually I like all their stouts.
