Mass effect is pretty good, I got it for the hubby a while back and he didnt think hed like it but then couldnt stop playing it til he beat it, they havent replayed it though as far as I know.
The boys are both nuts about Halo3 and played it over and over again (both online and off) until Call of Duty WaW came out, now thats the big thing hehe.
Halo will have a new game coming out next month, if you like fps you may want to wait for that, the kids and man are all pretty excited about it.
Red Faction Guerrilla the kids are having alot of fun with also, and its got good online playability.
My sons been renting Castle Wolfenstein which he says is really good and he would like to buy it.
Prototype is one Ive been curious about, wanted to get it for the man but got him Red Faction instead, since not so much a shooter, its gotten really good ratings.
Another one the guys like is Gears of War (3?) They play that pretty often.
Think those are the top of the list, we have about 50 360 games and those I think are the ones that get most played here hehe.
They also loved fallout and my oldest is in the process of playing through that one.
360 games
Looking for some new games to check out. I just grabbed Assassin's Creed and Bio Shock for under 20 each - so far Bio Shock is not bad. AC I spent about 40 minutes watching a story that occasionally let me run forward so we'll see...
I'm more of a RPG type - Fable 2 wasn't bad, Oblivion wasn't bad.
I play the crap out of NCAA
So far on my list are:
Fallout3
GTA4
World at War
The problem is those are all still really expensive and I feel cheap about video games at the moment with school starting back - so looking for some other ideas for games that might be fun that weren't so well known
How as Overlord? Mass Effect? Overlord 2?

I don't play enough games on the 360, PS3 or Wii to really want to give it a whirl, but why not check out, http://www.gamefly.com/ ? I know someone at work that really likes it, plus at only 15.95 a month you'll get one game at a time. If I was really into playing games on the systems like I used too, then I would do it. It actually makes more sense considering the amount of money I used to waste on games and then find out that I didn't like them. I'm talking to you Splinter Cell..

Yea I've looked them up - I was so impressed with Netflix, but I've heard they're slow, and its only one game at a time. I'm closer to your situation then a true gamer - the list Lessa just gave me will last me a year or more. I think of the two I've picked up recently I'm still close to the beginning of each game. Granted I do get sidetracked by NCAA a lot - and pissed.
