EQ Mage
Ok this is a commissioned piece. I sent it to the person to have them tell me if they like it or not (its actually a gift to someone) so waiting to hear back what they say.
Its a Drakkin Mage from EQ and her air pet.
1280x1024 desktop pic so linked cause of size:

Please don't tell me to redo the pet. ROFL I had a hell of a time trying to make him!
Outfit idea was borrowed from Eve's picture because I loved it so much, and it just screamed mage to me. Don't hate me! :-( I spent a good amount of time on this one. Mainly because I didn't do it in Poser alone. I exported it to Cinema 4D and with the help of Fredy and a lot of tutorials (god I love google!) I was able to figure stuff out. The cloud... was done with pyrocluster tool thingy and not postworked in. I'm like so fricking proud of that. :yay
Sucks cause you can't see the details on the little horn things on her face when she's shrunk. Original render size was 4000x3200.
Credits... hell if I can remember it all.. ROFL I know theres V4 with a VAMP skin and morph tweaked some, Pysche dress, DM staff/chair/table, Daz Mage Tower, Aery Soul body jewels, Cloud hair, umm oh yeah M4, Kurt hair, freebie books and misc things....cant remember the rest.
Few things that stood out to me:
Shadow across the floor - where is that coming from?
Shadows (in general) - your girl doesn't seem to have any shadows, making her seem more 2 dimensional and lacking some depth.
Her outfit - is she suppose to be see thru? I can see the smoke from the pet past her skirt, but I can't see her legs. Again there are no shadows and it just looks extremely flat.
She's got the poser armpits - you could either liquify that in photoshop or use the 3dc fix being sold on RMP.
Over all, I gotta say she doesn't really seem to fit in with the background. Were they rendered together or separately? I like the background props, but basically it's a huge room with not a lot in there. What about moving her back some or is it too late for that?
=)
edited to add: Is this the fix thing you were talking about? http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=70402&vendor=corvas
If so, I can't use it. I still use Poser 6. =\
I also adjust some lights and I think this render will be better and give her that not so 2d flat look so she fits more into the scene. As well as moved her back so she's close to the desk.
Now for my rant.... Im so pissed. I had it rendering all this moring.. was at 4hrs 6min rendering and almost finished (probably another hour give or take lol) and WHAM the damn power blinked and my PC shut off. :pout So yes, 4hr rendering gone down the drain. But from what I could tell, it looked better than last. LOL
thats how power people end up dead in a ditch somewhere.....
Not only that, she turned into a souless bitch with black eyes. Learning new programs are the suck!
Anyway, here is the result of 9hrs wasted....

Despite the parts that didnt render and her souless eyes..Does it look better than the original? Does she look more like part of the scene and not so flat? No postwork or anything, but my main thing was trying to make her look more a part of the scene for now and fix the pets hair.
I had to remove her earrings because they didnt like to render, and since it keeps messing up during rendering on the area of her neck where her necklaces were, I'm gonna have to go back and remove the big pearl necklace (haha she doesn't like pearl necklaces :lol ) in hopes that will help render times.
Maybe I should just do this whole thing in Poser and save myself the headaches. LOL
I think if it were mine I might turn the pet so that he were looking at what she is, cause he seems distracted, and shes awfully dark, but aside from that, I thik its a much better render, Shes definately more part of the scene than the previous, and she looks more touchable, I guess hehe, more 3d :)
As for the darkness, that will be fixed via photoshop via screen or curves or something. Maybe another layer filled a plae brown set to soft light. I had to use a soft blue light in order to lighten her up some in the scene (the light pale orange-brown colored light wasnt working and made her too dark). I can't seem to figure out how to fix the soft blue light.. if I turn the intensity up too much, it cancels the shadows created by the fireplace light and candle. :-?
I don't want to make the scene too bright though. Its only (visable) light sources are the fireplace and candle. Theres moonlight coming from the windows (which are there but not in the scene). It's getting frustrating. LOL
Ok here another version... I even remembered to liquidfy the armpits! LOL
