Starring Mila Jovovich

I dont know, this doesn't look too scary, but apparently part of the movie is supported by actual archived video tapes of interviews. Looks interesting though.

Who cares? It's got Mila Jovovich! It could be a movie about paint drying and I wouldn't even notice.

You see those new nude pictures of her? She has nipples like fucking golf balls.

No... lol. Should I grab a set of clubs?

Gotta agree with Pharren here.

Are those actually recent pictures? Damn, she still looks good. Really good.

Apparently they are, even after she gained like 70lbs from having her baby. She doesn't even look like she had a baby...no mama boobies or anything. Bizarre, but I wondered the same thing.

This movie is weird. Like, goosebumps weird.

The one thing that freaked me out the most about 'The Ring' was the disfigured, contorted faces of the terrified people. This movie supposedly has real footage of these hypnosis interviews and you barely see the same thing - the gaping, terrifying mouth and big eyes. I hate that, gives me the heebie jeebies (name the tv series that phrase is from!)

Allegedly this therapist has multiple patients out there in bfe Nome Alaska that are having problems sleeping. They all have this vision of a white owl, staring at them. Under hypnosis you figure out that the owl represents the 'aliens' that abduct them, the replaced memory. The first guy to go under hypnosis is so completely freaked out when he wakes up that he doesn't want to talk about it - maybe tomorrow. That night he kills his entire family and then himself, all in front of the cops and the therapist.

Guy#2 comes in with his wife, heard about what happened, but still wants to be put under hypnosis because he experienced the same exact thing - the white owl. He completely wigs out while he's under, wakes up, throws up, and then they go home. That next morning the therapist comes to the house, with a colleague who supervised the session and this Sumerian translation guy - they all witness dude levitate off the bed, scream holy bloody murder, and then managed to snap his vertebrae, paralyzing himself.

So, while this is happening, you see that her family is in turmoil due to the murder of her husband. The sheriff doesn't believe one word she's saying, but blames her for the deaths of her patients. That's when the weird shit starts happening.

It is really bizarre how they go back and forth from the reenactments to the actual footage, and I gotta tell you, the ending freaked me the hell out. The therapist...I don't want to spoil it, but holy cow the actual footage of the therapist gave me the creeps.

Gave it 4 out of 5 - it's not a super great movie, but god dang, I watched it in the middle of the day and it still freaked me out =x

This is exactly what I thought was so scary (and so awesome) about 'The Ring.' I *still* get freaked out over those few frames.

That and the stairs scene from 'The Exorcist' are probably the only two bits of horror films that have managed to mess with me after seeing the movie. The "jump moments" are always fun, but damn... those two things are just unnatural and friggin' creepy.

Anyways - thanks for the description, Roz. I wasn't planning on seeing this, but you've changed my mind!

While I thought the movie as a whole was so-so, I really liked the "archival footage."

I'm such a sucker for contorted faces!
