Chitter chatter - participant stuffs

I think it's fabulous that at TAC, it doesn't matter how many posts you have; if you do art, you're welcome here. But I think now that we've signed up for an exchange, we're all sort of in the trenches together. I get that not everyone is the "hold hands and sing" type, or even the "socialize on a message board" type, but even so I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the newbies and an invitation to some of the oldbies to hang out and get to know us .

I was pretty excited about hearing about art trades. For quite some time I've been looking for a great community to share art with as well as do art trades (and maybe even collaborations!)

So far I am enjoying my time here and hope to see more of you lovely folks!

I am one of the newbies here - Roz twisted my arm ...umm sweet-talked me into joining the new exchange. This is really exciting for me, but a lil intimidating too, as I am rather new to "creating" anything art-wise. So be patient, and expect lots of cries for halp LOL

Ya know, I've never really done anything sci-fi before in the few years I've been doing 3D art. This is going to be interesting. ROFL Usually I stick to fantasy stuff like Elves and EQ characters.

You already started Lillyanna? Not me! I'm still trying to come up with an idea. Ask me to make an EQ character... easy... ask me to make a futuristic, sci-fi picture and I'm like LOL

Did you do our 'fucking fairies' event, Nianya? We had 38 people sign up for that. Maybe we'll do something like that again. /shudder

I think I have a good idea of what I want to do but since I don't really do sci-fi stuff I'm looking thru props ... but I dunno which ones suck and which don't...bleh.

I know the feeling! I've spend the last week googling around for sci fi props since I really don't have anything.. either Poser stuff, or random .obj or .3ds freebies I can use in either Poser or 3ds Max and texture it myself. Oh yeah, I did see Dystopia City blocks 1-20 free on Daz.

Oh you loved the fuckin Fairies Roz! It was the first TAC event I participated in and I like to think ive improved alot since then.. I feel bad Adi got stuck with me that round, though I still drool over the piece she did for me hehe.

This one will be fun, I love having stuff that forces me to step outide my comfort zone, I hope I can do it justice!

i'm with nianya i've never done anything sci fi anless you count my alien queen ^_^. Vanesse journal got me wanting to try it out . still working on an idea but now the depression gone should come a bit easier. Also my first TAC event weee :does a jig:

I am pumped for this!!! I've already done like... a million and a half poses/props/etc to get the right feel for the character.... and am now working on desktops and signatures and avatars and stuff..... I really need to get a job or actually do homework... but this is so much more amusing!!

LOL No kidding. I have a pretty dead set idea of what I'm doing just sorting thru stores to find the right pieces.
