Can't believe there is not a thread on this yet.. or my searchFU is lacking. But either way i hope this does the first movie justice and doesn't flop.

Rented this this week and its was great. I don't think itll get any awards, but it definately is worth watching, its funny and it meshes with the original nicely, they didnt ruin the classic. :)

I watched the documentary on the guy who wrote/directed this. Some bartender from a bar in Philly (or somewhere east) who went from rags to infamy when the CEO of Miramax bought the script. However, within a year of that happening (and signing his band to do the soundtrack and a 5 album deal) Miramax dumped the script and the guy had to sell it a super obscure company just to distribute it after he barely got it made. Obviously it did well in DVD but only ran for like a week in 5 cities. His band's first and only album sold 690 copies. They were dumped from that contract, too.

Dude blew all the money he made from the script, movie, and band and was the most arrogant sonofabitch you will ever meet. Brought all his friends into the deal (they were his band mates too) and flat out told them they were nothing without him. Piece of work, this guy.

Lol, poor guy, he should have signed a better contract, but the movie is good :p

At my sister's funeral, we had the funeral home put the Saint's prayer on her paper.. The one that tells about her life , instead of Footsteps or some religious thing. It was her favorite, her husband buried her with her favorite Boondock Saints shirt too hehe.

She never got to live to see the sequel, but I think she would have enjoyed it.

This was a hilariously good sequel. You find out the origin of their father's legacy (brutal) and they add a side-kick, Romeo/La Raza the mexican. I laughed all the way through it and it was as super cool as the first.

Man, I was highly HIGHLY disappointed in this movie. God, what a letdown. It had too much comic relief for my taste.

It did not live up to part 1.

I didn't think it had any more comic relief than the first really. Gotta say, I was laughing my ass off thru both of them *shrug*

Part 1 was way WAY more gritty imo.

I dunno, it left a lot to be desired for me I guess. I just didnt like it near as much as part 1.

Honestly it may have been more gritty, but the parts that I remember at least, were the ones that made me laugh. Been a while since I've watched the original, so may have to dig it out and give it another watch :)

i fell asleep twice during the first movie - but what i was awake for looked cool.

the second one was a tad excruciating really :( Mike fell asleep at the end, and I just said fk it and turned it off when they were sitting in the garden.

It was dumb =(
