My assignment was

I based the piece on her description and reference pieces which were very helpful, while also adding my own spin on it. My interpretation of the character is a darker, more powerful G.A.S.H. enhanced Pyth.

I would've uploaded it here sooner but was having technical difficulties and could not for the life of me figure out how to post it here, I was sober too. After a little talking to Roz, crisis is averted ;)

WOW there is some AWESOME stuff here; I'm really blown away!



As so many people have said already, I don’t ever do space stuff! So for my exchange person NIANYA, I kinda deviated, and wrote a bit of a background, which will help to explain the non-metallic choice of background a little:ffice:office" />

It was an exceptionally warm day at the Rim. A curvaceous woman stalked up to the Captain Hastings with a certain gleam in her silvery eyes that made his eyebrows rise. She marched forward until she was toe-to-toe with him, stopped, crossed her arms and glared up at him. “I have some requirements to be fulfilled, Captain. I expect your cooperation.” At this, he feared his eyebrows would be lost in his hairline. He kept his cool and replied, “You are… Xandra, am I correct?” at her terse nod, he said, “what can I do for you, Xandra?” revealing nothing in his expression but the merest twitch of one side of his mouth.


“I demand a room with a large window! I need some kind of a view of the sky; I am an astrophysicist! How is one expected to work in an atmosphere without any windows??” Driving herself into a fine lather, she continued. “I would vastly prefer something on a higher level as well; the lights down at ground level are impeding my view of the heavens. What if an asteroid was hurtling towards us, and I was unaware until the last minute? What if planet alignment changes caused serious weather changes and caused us all to bake… or freeze? Do you understand me, Captain???” She stopped, her impressive bosom heaving with indignation. The officers he had been conversing with had all made themselves scarce at the outset of this tirade.

She watched him warily, and after a few moments of silence her expression became indignant and her mouth opened again. The captain held a hand up to silence her, which resulted in an offended huff. He said, with a half-smile, “Xandra, I believe I have just the place for you. It hasn’t been used in… a while, but it’s got a huge balcony window with plenty of sky view. Would you like to take a look…” She interrupted him (he noted this mentally for future use) with, “it sounds like it would work, assign me to that room as soon as you can and I will pack my belongings.” She then turned on her heel and marched away.


The assistant who had dared to stay and (miraculously) didn’t laugh at her tirade said, “Captain? Are you referring to that building that has been here for several hundred years? The one that has no window coverings and no furniture?” To which Hastings replied, “The very one, Smitsky. Please see that her quarters are relocated ASAP.” Smitsky saluted with a toothy grin, and then sped away.


The captain smiled. It was a good day.

Ok I had Laschae. Yeah I suck as well on sci-fi stuff. Sorry if its not what you expected. I had fun doing her. I tried to have her in a setting where she might be away from the lab but of course have some animals around her. I really hope you like it.

I would have liked to have ended this event with a proper story ending, but alas I had some personal issues come up and that pretty much threw my plans for a loop. Hell, I'm not even home right now. In any case...

We had a 99.9% turn in! 1 person had a PC failure and let me know in advance, so she is forgiven! She will turn in when her PC is back up, but we had Eve graciously create something for her person so no one was left empty handed. So thank you so much to EVE!!!

Next event might be a mafia game, if not, keep an eye on the horizon in 2010 for our next art event to be hosted by Eve and Lessa! Till then...

Thank you again for participating, suffering the emails, and coming to TAC.
