Jared Padalecki: Conan The Barbarian Competitor — EXCLUSIVE


Supernatural star Jared Padalecki is the third actor in the running to star in the remake of Conan The Barbarian, sources tell JustJared.com.
It was reported earlier this week that Kellan Lutz (Twilight) and Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis, Baywatch) are the two others in competition for the role.
Conan is set to start production on March 15 in Bulgaria but as previously reported that Padalecki’s schedule might be causing a little bit of trouble — he plans on tying the knot with fiancee Genevieve Cortese this spring in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Directing Conan is Marcus Nispel, who worked with Jared on the 2009 horror flick Friday the 13th.
WHO DO YOU THINK is right for the Conan role — Kellan, Jason or Jared?

Jarad is good looking to ... i mean i really wouldnt mind seeing either in a loin cloth TBH.

(kinda tired of seeing kellan around already lol. and totally dont fit imho but watch him get it haha)

Apparently this is the new Conan. I have no idea who he is, but apparently he was in North Shore, Stargate Atlantis and Baywatch Hawaii. Guess this is going straight to dvd.

What? I'm as buff as that dude and I'm not buff - he's using his hands to puff out his biceps - come on Conan was a large guy. They don't need another Arnold, but whomever plays him should at least have been to a gym.

Jason Momoa!!! :P He is hotness. Tho don't look all the buff in the picture he looked better in SGA show then in this picture (even tho it is from SGA i think...lol).

Still donno about the Conan fit tho ... I don't think I can actually picture anyone else but Arnold till maybe after the film is out hehe

They're going for the classic Conan appearance, immortalized by the late Frank Franzetta.

Conan was a mercenary, pirate, thief, soldier, and raider. And the movie appearance seems to favor the leaner, but still quite physically imposing version of Conan.

I love the Conan movies with Arnold, but am quite interested in how well the Conan remake is faithful to the literary roots.
