Rango

Johnny Depp was hilarious in this. Had a few references to some of his older movies, which I thought was pretty cool, but he had some of the best lines in the entire movie.

Now, it's a pretty adult themed kid's movie, for sure. There's death, certainly a little inbreeding (blech), and some old western stereotypes. It is a little slow, but it's a decent ending. David wasn't too into it, not after about 30 mins or so. He ended up falling asleep at the ending. Some god damn woman kept getting phone calls during the movie and did us all the courtesy of getting up, which riled up her 4 kids, and then stood by the door talking LOUDLY in spanish. The third time she did it, someone stood up and shooshed the hell out of her. Stupid cow - fucking hate people who do that.

The Spirit of the West made me laugh. Obviously a nod to Clint Eastwood, in name and in physical appearance, and there were some other things that had me laughing throughout the movie, but I dont see it as one that we will be buying for the kids. Its not something that they would want to watch repeatedly.

Well yeah it was a little dark for a kid's movie. Lots of death and creepy inbreeding =x
