Tylenol flu helps me sleep at night. I've had the same nasty cough you have, during the day I couldnt do anything and I worked as a phone rep too, that sucked. At night though I slept like a baby with tylenol flu. I'm taking it now but I'm only randomly coughing during the day. Dries me up like the god durn desert though at night. So sometimes i wake up from coughing because my throat is dry.
That's another thing, keep hydrated, that's helping me (when I remember to drink water).
*cough cough cough STURGHHHH*
So like, I have this flu crap. The problem is I cannot stop coughing, I mean can not stop. Ive tried every single over the counter meds I can and even Nyquil, which normally stops everything but breathing for me, wont stop it. It just makes me so tired I cant move, and I still cough.
Short of havign to go back to the doc again andpay another 20 bucks for him to prescribe me something, is there anything anyone knows of out there that will stop my lungs and all the hacking?
Thanks ahead of time, if anyone can provide an answer to this Ill like worship you forever. !!!!!

Girl I stocked up the other day. I've noticed that going out, even for an hour or two sets me back like 3 or 4 days. I feel great, go out, next 3 days i'm worthless =/ Even doing housework is hard on me. =/ Tylenol flu night time has this neato soothing taste they added to it. Lasts for about 5 mins but it so makes me sleep. Yummy.

dang,we must have the same thing then. I took my kids to their first Tumble class tonight, and after fighting with Blake (hes really shy) and then fighting with Alyssa half way through it (she hit her head and is really dramatic and they didnt "kiss" it like she wanted it kissed, so she came to the back with me *sigh*) I came home feeling like i had been drug a half mile. That brings me to another question tho, ( gonna derail my on thread) does anyone have any tips on how to get stay at home kids to participate? Its only their first night, so Im gonna give it some time, but Blake fought me like there was no tomorrow. Literally fought me. I understand some, cause they have only been in daycare 2 days a week for a couple months in their whole life, and the rest of the 4 years has been at home with me. I dont know what to do, and I feel like everyone is looking at me going "wassup with that?" lol.

Catherine had a hard time with separation anxiety too. Honestly it just takes time. The only thing I could do sometimes was to almost cry and let the day care person take catherine out of my arms. /cry If they're just playing, just let your kiddos adjust. If they dont want to play, dont force them. Let them watch and just gently encourage them to play. Eventually they'll want to see what the other kids are doing, but this will help them realize there is life beyond mamma. Its hard but with time they'll want to go and play. Then you'll cry again =D

LoL yeah, thats the way it was the few times they were in daycare. I had to pull them out cause I couldnt afford it. Daycare prices suck butt btw. Alyssa would cry, I would cry, Drade would get pissed cause he was late, Id cry again...
I didnt know whether it was better to force him to stay (cause I know he will love it if he stays, he always does) or to let him watch, because they wont let me stay, we have to peek behind a curtain, because the class is 3/4 year olds, and of course it hinders the other lil ones looking at us and their mommies too. *sigh* I think after a couple times of watching Ill make him stay once, even if he cries, and if he isnt playing when I come back, then he can bail out of it :)

Is this daycare or a playgroup? Honestly I'd let him go a couple more times, even if he seems iffish about it. They need to be with other kiddo's. Catherine was really shy at first and now she's little miss social butterfly. It really opens a child up and its so sweet to see them playing when they dont see you. Catherine's so animated and happy playing with other kids. I feel so bad that she missed kindergarden this year because she was born later in the year. She wants to go to school like NOW.

Same with blake beleive it or not, about school this is.
No what Im currently talking about that he wont go to is a Tumbling Class. Kind of like Gymnastics, but for lil kids. God, the kid has more energy than a damn mexican jumping bean, and I know he would love it if he would give it a chance.

you probably need those cough drops that numb your throat that way you won't feel the itchy scratchy sensation when you breath.

Chloroseptic sprays are nasty but work for a little while. They have those cute little strips now. They use them for breath freshners.

yeah that's why i said the drops, not the spray. the drops continue to trickle down, just keep one in your mouth all day. the sprays only last a short amount of time then you are back to spraying again.

The Ricola cough drops work well with me, however shortly after you are done with it, you'll prolly start to cough again. As long as you eat them like candy throughout the day you'll be ok.
Also might want to try the Advil cold (GELL) capsules. They work pretty well too.

Robitussen makes a Honey Cough syrup that works well for me. You'll never be able to smell honey after that and not think of cough syrup, though. :(
Get better soon. :comfort
