What would you do?
Interesting question i read on another board.
A co-worker, not really a friend, of yours is in management and she is sleeping with a male subordinate who directly works for her. It may be mutually consentual, you're not sure though. Do you advise -her- supervisor, or let it run it's course at her own risk?

i'd say wait to see how said manager treats you and other co workers.. if shes showing tons of favoritism to her boy toy, then hellz ya report her to her boss, but if shes more easy going and pleasant to be around.. wait till she breaks up to tell... hehe im evil :evil

Well, I think I'd approach her on it first and then her supervisor if she didn't change fix the situation.
Of couse, that's the military background in me...I've always been taught that you give the person an opportunity instead of just blackballing them.

I told her to keep on keeping but to gossip about it to non co-worker friends. Honestly she'd be fucking herself if it came out she squealed and if it doesn't affect her job, /shrug why tell? Again, if it doesn't affect her job in anyway. Otherwise have a big party and use it as a topic of discussion! =D

i'd let it run it's course unless like previously mentioned where she is giving this dude all kinds of favortism-like opportunities. then i'd confront her about it via email. always, always leave an email trail so it isn't your word against the others.

Sending an email like that could be considered both harassment and possibly libel. Bad idea.

Guess we'd do different things then, if I was civilian...not quite sure I'd let it go.
No matter how hard they try to be discreet about it, it would affect the work place.
I wouldn't confront them via email, but yea even if you talked to her face to face anyone could make it appear it was harassment.

not true. harassment is multiple times. it also depends on how you present it. a question like... you dating soandso isn't the reason he got the promotion over me was it?
there is no harassment and it's a valid question. you also now properly documented your objection.
if it doesn't effect you directly mind your own business.

In this situation it is better to sit back and stay out of it. Eventually the husband will find out. There will be a huge fall out. If your anywhere near by, you might get burned.
Of course if this supervisor turns out to be a bitch and mean, you can always save this as your little get out of jail free card.

Decidedly stay out of it. That happens all the time where I work. And in fact, at the moment one of my best girlfriends is about to marry one of the guys we work with. Nobody knew they were even dating until they were engaged though so that does make a difference. I dunno...I think as in all things if it isn't affecting you then let other people have their small pleasures in life.

Id take pictures then turn it in for a favor like 5 to 10 years down the road. hell youll never know maybe she will go into politics and you can turn the pics in to get the street in front of your house fixed or something.
