Wet Work - OOC Chatter and Question

Feel free to talk about the exchange, or ask questions here. You can also drop a note to Lessa or myself with any questions you might have about the theme or anything else for that matter

There are no size requirements of any kind, this exchange is just like any we've had in the past, a suggested desktop and sig, but no mandatory anythings so long as your person has artwork
Laschae 12 years ago
Cool my person is getting a 2x4 wallet sized booty picture at this point! Beli's Dragon Age sig makes me wanna play! I never finished. The love was too hot for me.

lol

I might've sent out that a minimum of 1024 by 768 is required for the desktop. In fact I'm pretty sure, I did. That way people get a decent sized portrait of their person - not just a sig or avatar. Didn't someone do that once?
Eve 12 years ago
Not sure... I was -going- to have everyone do a particular size for this one, and then try to do that animation bit I talked to ya about Roz, but with everything else that life threw at me right about that time, I have yet to crack that Flash book open again after I got it Maybe next time, or maybe I can crop some from the desktops if everyone is cool with that after.

@Laschae -- Whoops, forgot to turn off sigs. I'm actually peeved at Dragon Age right now! Origins is a great game, but the writing team sucks for the crap they pulled. Instead of two years worth of DLCs, they went in a different direction with DA2 with new graphics, etc and want to push that out in March. The changes are:

1. You now play as a human character named Hawke. (No dwarves or elves. I was OK with this.)
2. This means buh-bye to your original romances. They consider the book closed with your warden and your romance interest at the end of origins. You can import your end game saves and may see cameos of them in DA2, but don't hold your breath. (I was also OK with this.)
3. The last DLC they pushed out "Witch Hunt" boils down to a two-hour commercial for DA2. Your warden was basically hunting down Morrigan to get some answers about the "ritual" only to get jack and shit. We only saw her for like 3 minutes and zero answers from her about why it was so important. Those who romanced her had the option of riding off into the sunset with her la de dah. (THIS I was not OK with. What complete, utter trite. The head writer was all, "Tough, we don't owe you anything." What? I have to buy DA2 to get answers to the BIGGEST EVENT in DA:O? Way to give us closure for our wardens! Not pre-ordering this game. Gonna wait on reviews first to make sure there's no more bullshit bait and switch going on DA2.)

/end rant

Back to the upcoming turn-ins!
Laschae 12 years ago
That's lame. I am pretty sure me and Alistair were gonna have mucho bambinos.
Kilandra 12 years ago
Yeah, I am on board with the DA2 stuff reminds me of my husband soo excited for the latest Alan Wake dlc. Then he played it. Then it ended. And we both looked at each other and exclaimed, WTF! That's it!? I mean, in all honesty... would these writers like that done to them?

bleh.

and back to original thread purpose lol I have only one thing that I am happy with. But, maybe this time I'll get some feedback as to whether or not the person I make them for actually liked them! Unlike last time Soo excited!!
Lessa 12 years ago
I am excited too!

Its the final week guys, so make sure your stuff is all ready to go, get your CC if you need it and have it ready. If you will not be available to turn in on the turn in day, please let Eve or I know and we can see about putting it up for you.

Happy Halloween is over and election day is over -- have the rest of the week to look forward to turn-ins! I have in-laws visiting the following week, but I'm not gonna look that far ahead.

this is my third one of these, and this is the first time i haven't been rendering up until the last minute. It's done, all i need to do is make a signature. and i am really not good at making those :-) I hope my person likes it as this pushed me out of my artistic comfort zone. Well pushed isn't the right word. Dragged kicking and screaming might be better.

Excitement, super-excitement, and last-minute rush combine for even more excitement! I've fulfilled my basic commitment to the exchange, but I have room between my client's assignments to try something ambitious for me!!!!

I'm ready to turn in already -- this close to gilding the lily as it is! I've been previously accustomed to turn-ins on Friday nights/Saturday mornings. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH A WHOLE EXTRA DAY.
Eve 12 years ago
LOL Sorry Beli! Went with a Sunday this time to give any folks who were pushing it and work during the week that extra day to do finishing touches

Hahah.

I started mine earlier than normal and I'm still working on it. I'm going to be working non-stop these last days.
Jetamio 12 years ago
Yeah I'm struggling right now, might be having to pull an all nighter to finish it lol. If I'd known they were gonna make me work 60-70 hour weeks I wouldn't have entered ;s
Kels 12 years ago
Are we doing a holiday exchange? I liked that one a lot /smiles
KaAnna 12 years ago
I think someone said somewhere that this was the last one of the year.
