Help with vodka selection

My sister is coming to visit for Christmas, and while I drink rum, she drinks vodka. I am hardly a vodka connoisseur, so I don't know what the hell is what, I just know that Absolut is crap. I know she drinks Skyy, but I want to get her something... better. Is that even a good brand? I'm not looking to spend some absurd amount of money, I just don't want to get her something cheap and Skyy sounds cheap to me. Someone who knows wtf they are talking about help me out here, please!

Grey Goose is my favorite

Skyy is decent, its not bad, its not the best.

Give her a bag of potatoes and a book on distilling in one's basement, away from the prying eyes of prohibitionist Uncle Sam.

I'm not a vodka drinker either, but I thought I'd contribute some dead weight to this thread. HTH!

Silver was always my favorite when drinking vodka or using vodka as a mixer.

More specifically:

Or any Silver labeled Vodka works.

Its a middle of the pack price ranged Vodka. Its not expensive, but its not cheap either. It has a good clean taste to it. I used to swear by Silver back during my drinking binge days. I wish Grimknot was around, he'd say the same =D

Or, if you want to get her something different, try Stoli. Its a pure hardcore Russian vodka and its good also.

Grey Goose is one of the best vodkas out there. It is however quite pricey.

its only about $10 more than a bottle of Skyy, so if you're choosing between he two for a gift, its not so bad. If you're going through a bottle on a daily or weekly basis on the other hand...
