DAZ sells ripoffs apparently.

SAME OUTFIT!

I'm assuming this outfit is related to some type of comic character, but no idea who. Anyone know?

KaAnna 15 years ago
Thank you, Vex. EXACTLY my same thoughts when I looked at this today. I was like.. dang that looks like that outfit by Shana, wtf. I wonder if there's illegal shenanigans going on.

Sigh. There's plenty of ideas out there. If only I could 3d model!

As for character, I'm not sure. I guess that would partially explain the inspiration behind it.

LoL Glad I'm not the only one. At first I was like hey that's kinda cool cuz I do have that one by Shana and use the legs a lot. Then I got looking closer and saw the belt, and looked at the detail on the top and was like wtf?! I bet they get called on that one.

Man that takes balls. I'm so tempted to link Shana's promos.

found it!

Makes me think they prolly were just idiots rather than intentionally ripping someone off hehe.

...and lazy.. I can see why they used DM's pose.. but could they really not adjust it to work with the props they include in the set.. they had to use the wrench?

Shana's is cheaper on RMP. =x

i'm seriously curious about how this is going to work out. Is daz just going to keep it? That says too much. I can't imagine these two vendors had no idea, nor anyone else who beta'd it, or QA'd it thru daz, didn't know of shana and AL3D's pack.

But then again, there a kajillion zip up bodysuits.

Too bad neither of them did the boots right. I hate the half boot half sandal in Shana's, and this new one has heels. I can understand taking inspiration from video games and stuff, but why not mix it up a bit. They could have done those pants with a different top and had it look totally different. I end up mixing it up myself, but if I was going to model stuff like that, I think I'd draw ideas from different outfits instead of trying to so closely mimic one.

That strap going right in the armpit is a wrong choice -- that's the weakest part of renders. It's like if I wore tight, low-rise pants and let my love handles fly! Why court disaster?
Lessa 15 years ago
Thats pretty bad even for 3D models I think, I dont know that Ive ever had that happen in any other outfit.

No, i didnt know this product.

Yeah you see that a lot, Pharren. I think its a size perspective thing. Large large portraits scaled down fucks the eyes up...or something.

And I call BULLSHIT on that. Shana is a HUGE vendor. It's complete bullshit that even their beta testers didn't know it existed. Bullshit.

Okay, that's one question answered. What's the explanation for the blondes in the other picture looking like soulless abominations from the dark depths of the unholy abyss? It's like Zombie Apocalypse: Winter Edition.
ROzbeans 15 years ago
That's poser face. Pretty common too.

No, i didnt know this product.
I think we see the same things, i see a beautiful image on a wallpaper and i worked with it. There are lot of product at RMp and other stores it is difficult to see all products.
KaAnna 15 years ago
Gogo adamr001 for subtly pointing it out in that thread. lol

I agree that they should have just taken the outfit as inspiration instead of direct copy. I mean, be creative and make it your own. That's the beauty of it.

I need to absorb someone's 3d modelling skills. lol
