Fake Album Cover Design Thing

(not sure what else to call it)

Someone tagged me in a photo on Facebook with the following caption:

MY NEW BAND 1. Go to Wikipedia and hit "Random". The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2. Go to quotationspage.com and hit "Random". The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first ...album. 3. Go to Flickr and click on "Explore the Last Seven Days”. The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. 4. Use Photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together. 5. Post it with this text in the caption and TAG the friends you want to join in.

I don't normally do the "tag a bunch of people" things, but I got curious to see what mine would turn out to be, and this is what I came up with:

I only tagged the person who had tagged me, and I didn't put much effort into it (obviously), just rotated and cropped the image, because I wasn't planning on having anyone else see it. Fifteen minutes later, two other people from my friends list had gone and made their own, and just now Verileah suggested I post it here as a challenge. One of my friends had done it differently, using a random image from DA (perhaps that is another variation going around; I don't know if she even made it because I made one, or if the timing was just coincidental), but personally I like the flickr version better.

So, here you go. Try it out and see what you come up with! Don't bother spending much time on it if you don't want to; most of the fun (imo) is just seeing the random image come together with the random Wikipedia article and the random quote, and actually look like a real album cover.

1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2. Go to http://quotationspage.com/random.php3 . The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3. Go to http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/. The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. (Alternatively, you can use a random image from DA, or wherever... I don't really care where it's from! As long as it's truly a random image)

4. Do your artsy thing.

5. Post!

I saw this on le Facebook and figured if it was cool enough for P-Mo to do, I might as well give it a try.
