9pm tonight. I'm sure they'll keep showing reruns at first if you have HBO. I enjoyed the first one

Luckily I watched the sneak preview last week for this week since I'm heading to the beach. I hope it's the same they said it was!

Yea, At the end last week (this week) I just said "goddammit..". I'm really enjoying it. PM me with how it ended because I've forgotten and want to know whether i should be in a rage for missing it or feeling good for being clever.

Nevermind I just remembered! Yea, that

I'm a little uneven on the show but I'll keep watching.

They really found the -perfect- guy for Littlefinger.

Haha, absolutely. He's so slimy, but somehow without being repulsive. I think the actress playing the youngest Stark girl does an exceptional job with her role, too. And for the first time ever, I don't want fucking Boromir to just hurry up and die.

Having not read the books, the hubby and I are both really enjoying this one since neither of us has any expectations of what should be happening. Sometimes we have trouble keeping up with who they are talking about by name, but for the most part we've kept on top of it all. I gotta say, I'm kinda rooting for the white blond dragon girl to come over there with her big ass barbarian guy and kick some ass Her brother got exactly what he deserved in my opinion.

Having the families coded by hair color does make things easier to keep track of .

Hahaha, best line of the series so far:

"Shagga likes axes."

edit: There was a Wilhelm scream in this last episode, too! Waaaa!

I honestly thought the end of that would be in the last episode. It's been so long since I've read them.

Sean Bean's in this, right? Apparently he got into a bar fight or something out on the street and not only did dude get stabbed/cut on the arm with a broken bottle, dude refused to go to the hospital and walked back into the bar to order another drink.

I think I love this man.

They still have a good bit of ground to cover for the last episode. It seems like they are keeping things moving at a good clip.

I'm into it every week. I love it. Obviously, no where near the books - but nothing on film could be

http://www.tor.com/blogs/2011/08/game-of-thrones-effects-reel Shows how they did a lot of effects. Thought it was pretty neat because nothing in there other than of course that lil something in the very end of the season was obviously CG. I so can't wait for next season! If I were to decide to read the books, would season one be pretty much covered just in the first book? I don't want to get ahead if I do end up reading them. Hell maybe I'll just wait til they're done with the show LoL

To answer your question season 1 covered the first book. Season two should be the second book only.

Having said that, you should read them. The show is good and will go in your memory as a good show alongside many others, the books are an experience. It makes me sad that people are watching the show and ruining the chance of reading the books for the first time - they're that much better than the show. Having spoken to several people watching the show, some who have read the books and some who haven't, it seems like people that have read the books get more from the show anyway. I think reading the books will add enjoyment to the show, but watching the show first just robs you of the (100 times more) joy of reading the books There is so much more going on that you won't even realize without having read them, and honestly I foresee it being a problem down the road as they've had to shortcut key points that come back into play.
