yah i got to agree, hair makes him look like a fag, was gonna ask you how to do the particles and effect around the VDD, been tryin to make effects like that jus tdont know how.

I'll do up a tutorial on how to do the effects so its easy to follow, but basically its:

red blob (45pt airbrush)
filter/stylize/find edges
filter/distort/twirl - set twirl to max until it makes a wisp like you see.

duplicate the layer to deepen the color
CTRL U (adjust hues) and colorize - then max saturation and play with the color
blending options/outerglow - pick your color (usually to match or do something funky)
scale/rotate to your liking =)

It's not the fault of the hair that he looks a little bit limp wristed...hobbits as a rule just look that way.

My only c/c is that the quote doesn't match the image. He doesn't look furious or wrathful. His countenance seems too calm and he's extended his staff more as if to say "hey check out my pretty stick". A quote that might go better with this image would be "Walk softly and carry a big stick" or however that quote goes. Of course the quote might've been client driven in which case nevermind :)
