Blade Runner Mafia Day 1 /ooc discussion

Vera Staton was murdered! You guys better get together and kill the person responsible!

Several neighbors peeked out of their windows or stood on their balcony to watch the scene playing out on the sidewalk below. Three medics moved the dead body of Vera Staton, wrapped up in a gray, slightly bloody sheet, into their ambulance and drove off, but their sirens did not wail and the medics were clearly in no particular hurry. More interesting to the neighbors than the removal of the body, though, was the loud and angry Russian police officer pacing furiously and occasionally bellowing into her phone. Unfortunatly for the viewers, the conversation was fairly one sided and consisted mostly of long pauses interrupted by short barks of cursing and complaint. After hanging up her phone and apparently resisting the temptation to dash it to bits on the ground, the police officer jumped into her hovercraft.

“She’s gone. God that was too close. We’ll have to be more careful next time.”

“Dead is dead. We killed her, no one saw, end of story.”

“She was still breathing when we ran off!”

“She bled to death. It doesn’t matter. We’ll do better next time.”

damn noise can’t sleep in this place no rest anywhere cops making too much noise there goes the big one now bye bye big lady you don’t know who killed the lawyer you’ll never know but the lawyer was an android dumb cop didn’t know the lawyer was going to kill me always watching me trying to get me alone I’ll showed her though thought I was going to help her blood everywhere I helped her alright helped her drown in her own blood but there’s still more after me gotta kill them all too loud in here they all need to shut up I’ll kill them all

Ok here are my first glance clues. I'm gonna post all the connections I see and hope someone else sees something to work with cause I have no clue who to lynch yet!

The serial killer seems to be a crazy pyscho android. The crazy part is obvious, the android part is a guess since the lawyer wanted to terminate the the new android model - the fact that the killer says the lawyer was in fact an android may throw this off. It doesn't seem to matter to much. We also know that the serial killer knows alot about people around, or at least thinks he does because he knew that about the lawyer. Also he mentions not being able to sleep anywhere - almost like this is someone without a room of their own. Here are my lists.

People with a touch of crazy -
Tyler Anderson - not so much crazy as fanatical and possibly angry at humanity
Anabel - Empathic - that would drive you nuts
Rufus Deaner - certified
Madcow - talk about a grudge
Simon Williams - MALE FASHION MODEL HELLO

People that know things about other people
Jed Hanover - our janitor
Rufus Deaner - bartender claims to know alot
Anabel - Empath

Vagabonds
Caitlinn - not sure from her story if visiting or moved here
Anabel - pregger homeless empath

I don't think the fact that Anabel is on all 3 lists makes her any more suspect then the others since her connections were pretty weak.

As for mafia I must be missing clues or there aren't many. It's possible the 3 paramedics symbolize we have 3 mafia but thats a long stretch unless the mafia is carting off its own kills. From the fact they had trouble killing the lawyer I would guess that the people who did it weren't very physically adept or strong. Also the fact there was a Russian cop could mean the cop was brought in to look for someone specifically from whatever country Russia is now (I don't know the world). Jacob Rasmussen is the only one that said upfront he was of Russian decent and he seems to have dark enough thoughts - but again this is a stretch. Dana and Anabel would obviously have trouble physically killing someone since one is a 14 year old girl and the other is a 19 year old pregger girl, but I don't think this is very much either. Besides I'm scared to point at Rasberry again after I lynched her when she was the Doctor ;D

I'm inclined to believe that the 3 carting off the body were the mafia killers. Looks obvious that the serial killer finished off the lawyer if they left her breathing.

Was the cop talking to the sherrif? Probably.

Ok somehow I didn't see the scenario thread when I wrote all that just the death scene (fucker didn't glow orange for me ).

So the killer isn't an android for sure just a crazy special, and the Russian cop is Verileah's Guardian character sot hat cleans up Jinheim ;p

Also we could surmize that the mafia or at least some of them are people that were on Mars that returned based on the scenario. I'm to lazy to make another list atm though

I think the serial killer thinks that EVERYONE is an android, and that would take a very special kind of crazy... like say... schizophrenia?

Due to the fact that the crime scene was exact to Dana's Nightmare's kind of led me to talk to her first. Not saying she is the killer. I find it quite hard for her to reanact something that happend to her mother. I feel she may posses some type of gift that may help.

The way the SK is written does seem like they have problems forming coherent thought, but no one comes across like this. /eyes suspiciously

I reread it Mae it does look like the 3 were mafia that killed her then came back as medics to get the cart - and then the convo snippet we got was in the vehicle.

And yes Schizo would be perfect for the SK but it seems almost to obvious from char creation to SK and I don't think Veri would have done that this particular game when we still expect semi normal she wont' give that to us.

Well the SK says he can pull it together enough to fool people. Could Jimmy be an alter ego or is it really a boss and the SK is indeed an employed person?

I do recall that in my phsycology class the professeur used something similar to this as an example of the way people with schizophrenia, And Rufus is the only one I see who doctors say has it.

Also I dont see the similarities between dana's dream and the killing. The only common thing is the bleeding to death. The same nightmare she's had for years. It 'could' transfer over into real life?

Guys, I would think it's pretty simple who the SK is. It's Geeii.

The SK thinks the Lawyer was an Andriod, so it's pretty obvious that the SK has problems with Androids (Geeii mentions all his problems started with the android problems, and the drugs).

The SK is incoherent (drunks, drugs or brain issues- Geeii had drug problems).

The SK's stuff was in italics (Geeii's profile has him talking in italics)

I think Geeii was on drugs, and killed the lawyer.

I do admit that the schiz stuff pointed at me is a good reason to suspect me, but you guys are wrong. If you do happen to lynch me, then do me a favor and lynch Geeii when the SK is still alive.

Geeii was a teacher fired for his fanatical ways and the SK is tainted and more then just on drugs from what I read.

I've named a bunch of people as possible SK you seem a tad defensive though

Those that are defensive you need to watch out for as per our FIRST MAFIA SCENARIO.

I said it before and I will say it again. Those that point the finger vigorously have some DEEEP skeletons.

You named a lot of people as possible SK, but you failed to mention anything pointing to Geeii. I put my own findings there, and a bit more substatial findings, IMO.

A tad defensive? Heh. Ok, we have a couple of people insinuating the schizo thing, and I had to respond. So how should I have responded? Ignored it, blindly follow your leads, or find my own leads and decide for myself?

Pointing fingers? I pointed towards one person whom no one else was noticing, gave substatial reasoning, and acknowledged the accusations against myself. I don't see how I acted any differently than anyone else.

Like I said, the schizo thing is pretty damning. But if you lynch me, don't be surprised when the SK is still alive. All I ask is that when that happens, you lynch Geeii afterwards. And if it so happens to be that you heed me, and the SK is still alive tomorrow, well then, the best bet would be to lynch me.

I'm clueless. I don't understand what "clues" I'm supposed to be seeing. I've reread the character threads and the death scene several times each and I'm still staring at a blank slate. Help!

I totally missed the clues in my first game. We were all kinda like 'wtf are we suppose to do now?' lol. So I totally understand what you mean. Right now at this point after the first lynch, its pretty much getting a feel for how the other people are playing their toons and who might be who. You can draw conclusions, you can accuse like T_Smith did. You can PM/IM/email people and start asking questions. Flat out say, 'who are you? are you mafia?' Form alliances or just LIE! =D

As far as writing goes, you can add a little bit of in character reaction on the lynch thread. Like how your toon would react or even point a finger by writing out your suspicions of someone. First game is hard, once we get a couple kills in you'll get a hang of it. 2nd game, like how this is for some of us, is fun because we know what to expect now. So if you dont see clues right off, odds are neither do we lol.

Correct on that - I did overlook Geeii as a possible SK and you had some valid points - I went back and read and its definately possible. I lean more towards you after your posts though then I did before them - honestly I really didn't think it was you before, but now I'm wondering if it is or if you are mafia instead - the tipper for me was the "its obvious" statement when nothing you gave was concrete enough for it to be a sure thing about Geeii - and then you immediately vote without further discussion- it really does seem evasive. The part about if we lynch you then when the SK is still alive please lynch Geeii also seems evasive and defensive to me and a ploy I guess you'd call it. I'm not convinced you are - but I thinking moreso now then I was before.

I hope you aren't actually offended by my posts as that isn't my intention and since we don't know each other its hard to tell. My aim in being so straightforward is to get people to talk and shake people up and get them to post defensively. Alot more clues follow then if people are being quiet.

LOL, no not offended. Its a game of accusations and I've played quite a bit, so I'm used to it.

But come on, nothing I gave was concrete enough? I gave 3 good reasons that he fit the role, more than I see of anyone else. The problem is the schizo stuff. If the accusation wasn't against me, and me knowing I was a townie, I'd totally be taken by that. Which is why I'm certain I have a probably chance at being lynched tonight.

See, I see it for you guys as a choice between me or Geeii as SK. Since I know I'm a townie, that leaves only one other option for me. Geeii. Which means if I get lynched tonight, Geeii should be lynched tomorrow (I try to help out on future days when I have a chance of dying, its how I play).

I gave good reasons, I checked everyones characters (I have suspisions for mafiosos, too), and Geeii hasn't responded so it's not like you can go off of his posts like you are mine.
