First let me say, this character is gorgeous! I love the way her hair falls around her face and the lips and eyes are faboo.
The pose seems a bit too relaxed to me for someone shooting an arrow. I would say pull the bow in closer to her face and make it more like she's looking down the arrow at her target. The grip on the bow could be tighter too. I imagine someone white knuckling it when using a bow and arrow. Maybe watch someone using one?

Ok, I'm struggling with this one. The pose is really bugging me. The client would like to have the model close enough to see the detail on the face as well as with the bow/arrow. I'm getting a lot of texture distortions with this release of Daz Studio so there is quite a bit of postwork to correct that :(
C/C 4.5 - give me some ideas people!

ZOINKS! I love her face and this pose too. /agree with what Ry said. Also the arrow should be in between her index and middle I think. At least have the index finger on top of the arrow to steady it. Bring it up close to her face would be AWESOME. This is really beautiful, very unique pose!

ive been looking at the pose for a few mins now and theres a couple things that kept bothering me.
first of all, i am asuming shes supposed to aim at something? shes standing very relaxed and isnt really threatening, atm. anyway, if shes supposed to be threatening, her arms need to be strechted more, and the arrow hand prolly closer to the body/face. the bow hand prolly needs a tighter grip since the bow would be pressed into the wrist when pulling back the bow string, and the thumb should go around it and not stand away like that.
the bow string itself is currently edging at the wrong point, it should be at the hand =P
the arrow itself is at the right spot on the bow, however, usually one would wear a special glove and/or have some sort of hole or something on the bow to put it in. you definitely dont place it between your fingers, those arrow wings at the end will cut your skin like butter when youre not using a toy bow. i personally made this experience =P
hope that helps

I think perhaps my biggest problem with this pose is that it's been years since I've shot an arrow... and even then I shot it left handed LOL I'm one of those ambidextrious people... ya know, equally clumsy with BOTH hands! hehe
Anyway, I borrowed a bow and arrow from my sons' cub scout den master. So I'm going to use the boys as models tonight to work on it. Unless my client decides to go with a different pose I came up with...

I haven't forgotten about this one. Been working with the client on various poses and lights.
This is the pose that the client prefers so we are going with that.

No nipples? hahahaha
I think you should try to recreate the lighting you had going in DAZ Studio - I liked the cool, moody quality and it looked a bit crisper.

Not one word about nipples, ok! :P If anyone has been to Gen Con and seen the chainmail bikini babes walking around, you'll know that they usually always have a flesh toned bit of fabric sown inside to cover the nipples and keep public decentancy. So hush! :P
Client is happy with the pose and the background lighting. However, we are still working on the foreground lighting to give her a blushed look.

These are known as pasties and are prone to wardrobe malfunction.
This is a lovely piece and as a fan of the hunter/ranger I like the last pose as well, relaxed, but ready to strike.

Lots of improvements this render!! The ponytail is better, more natural now that it's closer to her.. the hand is tighter on the bow, so good! And I agree the lighting here is an improvement. You can look and see the previous one was more golden / yellow and it gave her a slightly sallow appearance. This is more rosy. If you don't think it's there yet, you may want to just try flushing her cheeks in postwork, so you don't have a really pink lighting on her.

Ok, now we're onto the font type stuffies... aka the part I suck at!
I've had a difficult time finding a font color that worked well with the light and dark areas of the bottom. It may be that my eyes are just ready to snap shut LOL

I really like this picture, has a good ranger-ly feel to it. :) A suggestion for the type: I'd lose the red and try it with green over the gold instead, that is if you're really set on the gold. I would almost rather see it a green that matches her armor which should stand out well enough in both places. Don't be afraid to make her name a little bigger, either. Even if you just make the first letters of each name larger and play with the placement a bit. Oh and not sure if this is for a magelo or not, but if it is, you might want to move that bottom text down a bit. I think where it is right now it would be covered by the boxes. Anywho, I love how the pose came out in the end and her hair is awesome. Btw, she's not wearing any pastie. *snickers* I can spot the left (her left) nip no prob.

/agree with Eve-e. Green on gold would be beautiful and ya jack the font size up! She came out beautifully though :thumbsup
