LP is actually an amazing band and pulls off the rap/rock combo exceptionally well.

Korn, Marilyn Manson, Live, Chimaira, Lamb of God, Kelly Clarkson, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamins, and Cold.

My music preferences usually scare people so I'll keep them to myself, thanks. ;)

What you like country?

Ooops, had to say it. I doubt it is likely to actually scare anyone here.

I tend to enjoy country music, but I have discovered Bob FM It has to be the most fun station I have ever listened to. Though there are a few things that I don't like, when they come on I pop over to KASE or KLVE (country and contemporary cristian, respectivly)

But then again when my kids are in the car and awake, I'm kind of stuck with Veggie Tales or Kid's Praise, or 101 songs kids love.

Fun story about Bob FM. I'm driving home from the store, and "Play that Funky Music" by Wild Cherry came on. Well being the extrovert that I am, I love to dance in the car. So I rolled down my windows and turned the radio up as loud as I could stand it and sang and danced my way home.

I pulled up to a stop light, and because I felt eyes on me I looked over, and a rather cute guy (not that I notice these things being married and all) was grinning at me. I flashed a smile and winked at him, before driving of singing and dancing (badly and off beat by the way.)

Horray for Bob FM!

Finally, I don't know what country so-called "Country Music" is from... but it's not MY country.

P.S. Here's a little experiment for you. Go find 10 people over the age of 21 and ask them this question: "What kind of music do you listen to?" I'll wager you that more than half of them answer by saying "everything" (or the equivalent), will begin listing off specific bands or genres, and will at some point mention their feelings on country and rap.

That is very true! :lmao

Finally, I don't know what country so-called "Country Music" is from... but it's not MY country.

It is technically called Country and Western. As in music played in the "country" or rural areas of the States, and in the "west" or what used to be the "old west." It is the music of cowboys, and ranchers, music that speaks of love, hate, loss, and the way things are.

It has turned into something less than that these days, and pop and allsorts of things have cheapened it, but if you go back just thirty years you can find what the creators of this music intended. My favorite song has always and will always be Good Morning America by John Denver.

Perhaps one day the genre will come full circle and re-imbrace it's roots.
