DAY 2: OOC Discussion

That, I believe was our point. There seems to be fairly damning evidence that Leak is the SK, but instead, a group of people are pointing fingers at the ROBOT WHO CLEANS UP FOR KICKS. Ugly messy crime scenes (except for the lynching, that would have been fairly tidy) but..."Hey, how do *we* know her positronic circuitry doesn't make a shuffling noise?"

Seriously.

I realize completely that we make it look like we're Mafia defending our buddy. The problem with being a townie is, it's almost impossible to actually trust someone. And then, on the rare occasion that certain people do trust each other, they're taken out by their fellow townies.

Quite frankly, at this point, if I WERE mafia, I'd have stepped back and sacrificed Matilda long before now for the good of the team. I think it says something that we're still standing here telling you (or, I am, anyhow), that we believe you're lynching a townie.

I'm probably the next to go, in fact, since I've done the unspeakable in the townie role and actually stuck my neck out for someone. By lynch or by mafia hit, I don't expect to last another day.

I'll be damned if I don't go down kicking and screaming though.

Entirely off topic, does playing this game give anyone else a hankering for Encyclopedia Brown books? The way that kid could piece together completely circumstantial evidence and finger the culprit so precisely that instead of insisting upon due process they immediately confessed...

Wow they started putting them out again in the late 80's early 90's.

I read those books when I was a kid, and I'm only 22.

I think I was...8 or 9 when I read my first. =x

I got mine new, through the Scholastic Book Club thing at school.
According to Maelarya's info, this would have been when I was about 7 or 8.
I however, am not old. I consider myself more timeless...like rocks.

:\. I'm -almost- sold on Leak being the SK...but I'm also worried that we don't have much time to eliminate a mafia player before we have to start sweating the vote balance. Better to get their numbers thinned in case they have a bunch like last time.

*ponders* Of course, we'll keep our numbers in the good overall if we happen to get the SK this round, I'm just not confident we have a sure thing in Leak and worry we won't withstand much more from the mafia. We gotta get at least one mafia early on, by day 3 I think if my number crunching is accurate...

Meh. I'm thinking out loud...I guess the robot could live another day and we could hope we get the SK this round. I just want to keep that thought in mind.

I got mine that way too. Like once a quarter they'd pass around this goofy catalog and I'd struggle over which books I wanted. Oh god, some of those books were like 3 dollars!!!! ><

I have to agree with Veri, and in fact just had this discussion with someone, that it would be cool if we could get the SK to pick off mafia. This would however entail a certain amount of trust, which this game doesn't lend itself to, and the 'being' is a freaking Serial Killer so... dodgy at best.

I'm not sure what the deal was with the Guppy lynching, it seems likely that in the first vote the mafia are going to be much more organized than the rest of us, so they're most likely/able to influence that first vote. This of course would suggest that Ethyl was a townie. I am totally in favour of lynching a mafia next time. Let's work on that *grin*

So do we want to lynch an SK suspect this time around is the question...

It seems that this would depend on two things
Is the Snot willing to co-operate? and
Is everyone going to change their vote to Penelope instead of him?

I'm confused, I thought Penelope was another possibility we were kicking around for SK. Maybe I read stuff wrong?

The SK can't be Penelope because the elevator scene describes the other passenger as a 'guest' and Penelope works for the hotel...she could however be mafia with access to keys/large amounts of paper/possible dislike for the extra guests in the hotel because of the extra work.
