Gilly Bean?
Anyone heard from Gilly? Looks like a Metra train detrailed and I know from a previous post she rides Metra.
Here is a story on the derailment. Two ladies were killed, and there were 17 seriously injured. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9374274/

She hasn't posted since Friday so I'm slightly worried, but she does usually troll from work and it's unlikely she was on the train on a Saturday since she normally takes it to work. I'll try to call her around 10 if she doesn't post by then. I dun wanna incur the wrath of a pregnant woman who just got woken up. =/

If it was on a Saturday, I'm guessing she probably wasn't heading into or even in town. /crosses fingers She's usually pretty quiet over the weekend so I'm sure (hoping) that she's ok.

Aww you guys are sweet :) No that was a train heading from the south. I'm from the west. I took a day off to sleep so I wasn't in to work today. Sorry to make you all worry!!

Well...it's somewhere near my route but it's not my route. To be honest, I didn't hear anything about the train derailment until Sunday night. As Roz said, I wasn't apt to be on a train on Saturday morning...I was sleeping. I was a bit distressed to hear about it though. Man I'd be pissed if that happened when I was on the train...especially if I died.
Thanks to Anu's e-lovin I will live forever. I'm like motherfuckin Mumra the Everliving! (bonus points to whomever knows who Mumra the Everliving is)

YAY! I saw that article and remembered your recent rant about Metra. Glad you are alright. =)
Apparently the Metra train was going like 60 something miles over the speed limit or something crazy like that.

Well the issue was that they were going 60 over when they were trying to change tracks. Train go boom.

i guess that train company or wtf ever is going to be in for one hell of a lawsuit. It never occurred to me that you could break the speed limit as a train.
