OMFG~!
.. so I'm working right along minding my own business when all the sudden AOL starts doing this update BS. I'm running poser and PSP and my systems alreayd lagging up cuz of the heavy workload.. SO i start saving my progress ever 10 seconds. BAM wouldnt you know it wondows starts updating so I'm like fine ok YOU WIN! .. i save and close stuff .. I wait and wait and decide that I will save some stuff to my CD so I get Eve's stuff saved , only the pngs tho. and comp shuts down I go to start it up and nothing.. I restart the restart and my aol /modem is fubbered. I uninstall reinstall and AOL still dont work i restart yet again ! ... same damn thing >( I sat all day trying to reinstall shib and finally had to give in and reset the whole thing back a day ... ALL my work gone! *cry* I'm stabbing AOL in the eyes and kickin windows in the nuts I'm so pissed ok though tI'd share carry on~!

Also, you can turn off automatic updates.
This is why most people stopped using AOL 5 years ago :(

No, really. This is true. Though it was about 7 years ago for me. i was one of the beta testers for the cable modem in Vegas. ;)

I like my auto updates cuz I would never remember to do them I have never had this problem before I just sat and cried =/ bastards ....

PS look into Directway (Broadband satillite). Its $$$$ but its faster then dialup
I got Broadband, They finally got that in my lil town not to long ago, Thank the Gods.... . So its a plus atleast =D
