wow AV fun

Two and a half hours waiting on AV this past weekend. So I dropped it, hit up AB again and got in after half an hour.

But I'm alliance, so we lost.....tons.

Rolled up a rogue on feathermoon since I get gang raped as a warlock.

Only AV I ever did I came in 3 hours late (was only there for like 90 minutes) and finished out top 10 on killing blows. Grimknot just followed me around and kept me healed while I wrecked up shop. He got massive points for it too :D

Same reason I gave up on my Pally . Alliance Rogue and doing pretty good in the AB's at 49. I also gank like crazy, no matter what the level. Lately i have been 6-2 in the AB's so I cannot complain.

i think horde are ugly, and i am too vain to play an ugly race. ( helloooo all my EQ chars were dark elves.. )

I waited in AV for 2 hours last night and ended up sayin fuckit and went and ate some birthday cake. a shame too. cause if i want to raid i need to respec out of shadow :( *cries*

are they doing anything to help with the wait times on these things? This is discouraging. :(

It's a 5-8 hour wait typically from what I can see - I went once and said fuck it after that.

I used to WSG quite a bit and got really good (fasted flag returner ever!!!) but its like 30-60 minutes wait too, and I missed one week and lost my rank and said fuck that too.

Why such a long wait? Too many people want to play? Not enough people play? You would think that if they have too many people wanting to play that they would make adjustments....and vice versa. I don't get it. Why would they expect people to wait for HOURS to get in a PvP instance? That's rediculous.

I'm at the point that, the PvP instance is what I want to do, but I dont feel like waiting (nor do I have the time) for hours....I also don't feel like leveling another character to 60 on a PvP server. Ugh.

Because there are 600 alliance people waiting for every half a horde

everyone is playing AB on my server.

At any given time there's like 7 AB instances running.

for AV you need a minimum to get started, on both sides. The guards that you have to kill to capture keeps hit for 600+... those are the nonelites, i havent had the luxury of getting slapped by a leader / elite, but i hear they hit for 1200s

Alliance gets totally spanked on my server 90% of the time. I dont know why it takes so long, other than they are all in AB. i liked CTF in quake and UT, but i just can't see it being much fun in WoW...

WSG is still my favorite! The CTF design is actually quite fun in WoW for some reason. I still think it's the one Battleground where each classes pvp uses actually come into play. Should give it a shot may like it ^_^

Hate to say this but it seems, on Nathrezim server, the alliance are the worst players ever to walk the BG's. Just learning, now, why we always loose is no one wants to follow instructions. Horde overpower us in orginzational skills and always win. Alliance just wants to kill and kill. I wait, maybe, 1-2 hours in queue because alliance does not join in cause we always loose. Kinda sux for me. I am in the 40-49 AB's and I have fun. There are many times no one listens and I just say fuck it and go for kills and get flags if no one is guarding.

I've actually been in winning AB. But not much, won 4, out of probably 15-20 I've gone too.
I'm not ever planning on trying AV or WSG again. It just takes too long to get into there, and actually as alliance I've never gotten into either. By the time I could even get into one WSG I could have run through 3 AB.

Did WSG quite a bit on the Horde side, and it is true that they are more organized. Only lost 2 out of 10 times. Not bad really, and WSG I enjoyed because it was so small that you everyone could get in some decent PVP action, while still working towards the goal.

I think that is the problem actually with AB, since there are 5 point and you need people to defend the points, some people are not going to get as much action as others and at least on the alliance side I know that I don't want to wait in line to get in and then leave with 10 or less kills. I think they need to change the way honor is done for that style of BG.

We're talking about the different PvP instances. Warsong Gulch, Altarac Valley, and Arathai Basin. (I sux at spelling these so forgive me but at least you get the idea.) One is a capture the flag style PvP, one is a PvP orgy, and I dont know what the other one is (AB). If I'm wrong on any of this, I'm sure I'll be corrected. I've only been in one WSG thing so far...so I know I'm not the best qualified to answer the question..but I tried.

AB is guard 5 different flags in 5 different areas. Mine, Lumber Mill, Blacksmith, Farm and Stable.

Aramous, that is the reason I left that server. The alliance there just plain suck. They are severely undergeared and play like retards, so if you haven't already: GET OUT.

You can still find my cousins (Ronijn, Dolorous, 60 rogue, 60 warlock) on the server. They were too weak to roll horde on Deathwing.

I can say that AB is the best instance. WSG can be fun, but the rewards there are complete ass. AV has nice rewards, so when I get around to it, I'll go queue to smackdown alliance. I even enjoy doing AV on my 60 Priest, but that rarely happens now thanks to the eight year wait.
