we watched this last night.. missed the first few minutes, but I liked it. TV SFX are getting so much better now that 3D is becomming cheap.

Yeah, pretty decent for a TV movie, I say. I missed the first 20 minutes though. My fiance said "that's OK, you just missed them rolling their characters."
The DnD commercials throughout made me laugh. One of them said something about don't let the cleric die. A few minutes later, the cleric dies in the movie. We both yelled at the TV "WTF n00b?!"

It was MUCH better than the original, but still had a lot lacking...but it was a fun watch anyhow... ;)
The cleric NEEDED to die simply for his weird ass head/hair thing he had going on...for half the show, some of us watching thought his tattoos were some weird comb-over. ;)
