Merf. Was worth it though :D. Got to see Rufus Wainwright live at the 9:30 club. Met interesting people, smoked cloves, listened to wonderful music (the opening act, Okay Go, was also quite enjoyable; very enthusiastic musicians) and just got blown away by Rufus and the rest. Bought a tee shirt. Have a bruise across my ribs from leaning over the bar. Got stranded in DC (the metro closes? what?) and took a cab back to college park...was only 20 bucks but we had to wait an hour. We missed the last train home by like 15 minutes, but it was worth it for the encore, which included a new song, an absolutely hauntingly beautiful rendition of Hallelujah (by Leonard Cohen), and Beautiful Child.
So how was everyone else's halloween? :D

I was one of two and a half people to dress up. One of the guys in the other support department wore a 3 foot dragon's head and black robes; one of the girls in Sales wore demon horns.

Im just fine. Im old so I never even thought about going out. I was up at 6 just like every day and working by 8. I did drink 2 bottles of red last night with my lady and was out cold after getting roped in to a history channel show on the Roswell of Russia.

I scared Hispanic kids with my costume and went to bed later then I usually do. (and I had a creepy vampire mask on) This one group of kids just ran away from the door. No noise, no "OMG IRL!" just ran and left their 3-4 year old sister at the door.

Very boring night for us, it seriously stormed until fairly late. Didn't have a single trick or treater.. which was good since once I heard the weather report I didn't bother to buy any candy LOL. Sucks for kids around here.. it rained last Halloween too, but not as bad so we did get a few hardcore ones by.

Ran around trick or treating in EQ2 so you know reliving the childhood that way. The concert sounds like it was a blast Billie! I'm wondering why I have a headache that feels like a hang over though when I didn't get to go :(

I bought 3 bags of candy, since where i lived in NY we often got 50-60 trick-or-treaters. I figured that here, in a big development, in The Big City, we'd have Lots Of Kids (tm).
I failed to realize that although we're on a main road, our condo is actually situated on the back side of the development, with only 3 other little apartments next to ours.
By 8:15 it dawned on me that no sane child would tramp around the back of the condos when there were hundreds of easily-accessible condos on the other side.
Most disappointing halloween ever. I miss NY!!
