But for real though, I've never had a one night stand, ive had sex with someone once, but we were really close friends and managed to stay and continue to be friends... I also subscribe to the can't just " hit it and forget it" because if I am having sex with someone, I care about them I cant just have sex with anyone.

Hawaii is the land of "hit it and forget it" I have had a few one night stands since i have lived here. I am all for it as you both get what you want. Toursist don't want a relationship and neither do i with a tourist.

Not true. Some men have both passion and intelligence and are able to use both together to make it good right out of the gate. The human body and it's reactions to things is something that's documented well...a man who reads and knows about things like nerve endings and where they are who is also able to pay attention to the person they are with (hi! if she's grimacing, you're probably pushing something too hard or poking it the wrong way) can figure it out pretty quick. All women have preferences so doing a thousand women won't help you understand the one you're with.

That's why my vote is always for the smooth smart guy over the smooth macho guy. Perception and understanding the science of sex is key imo.

However, I will also agree with both Veb's and your assessments on the "hit it and forget it" front. Women DO enjoy sex as much as men. Some women (myself included) might be said to enjoy it more than some men. As long as common sense and proper precautions are taken, I think both sexes would benefit from trying the "hit it and think about it fondly from time to time without obsessing over it" routine.

A wedding is really the way your relatives dupe you into planning a big party for them, at your own stress and hassle. In the end, the bride and groom go to sleep early, and the next day they wake up. Everything is the way it was, but less stressful. Its like a rite of passage, more then a pleasant experience.

And that is why my fiance and I got a wedding planner, and said " Tell us what to wear, when to show up, and where this place is. Here are some folks names/addresses invite them. Serve good food and beer. Here's the deposit". Then we went about our lives. Apparently we get married in September.
