We have the camera things installed as well at least in the metro area. I have only had one ticket and it was right at the turn in for my apartment. The policeman then says.

heh wish I would have seen this thread sooner.. Been a little busy between jobs lately =) my first offence was doin 85 in a 55... Relieved me of about $400 and gave me 6 points on my first offence.. then some months, maybe about six or so....it was real slippery and i was on my way home from a crappy winter day of liftting trash, might have been 20 outside in the sun.... I get onto a junction and just as im merging i notice a cop car to my oncoming right on the shoulder a parked semi in the middle lane and a van jsut past the cop car.An accident had happened no less than 3 minutes to my arrival. So in reaction, my foot moved over to the brake and tapped to slow down a little..... bad F*$king idea. My buick loses all control spins out and i hit the back of the police car doing about 25. in fact when i did hit my car spun back into traffic... luckily i wasnt obstructing too much or else i would have been hit again... Needless to say my car was damaged beyond repair... around $2500 of repairs for a $1500 vehicle, so i had to buy a new vehicle... and oh yea $150 and a 3 point violation, oh and i had to pay to have it towed and like $30 a day for keeping my car at the towing place... even though i was WAY under the speed limit for the curve and it was poor plowing and salting to blame for the string of accidents...I did get hit with the smallest penalty they had.My arguement was simple... my car got wrecked and i have to go buy a new one(which was another $2500)... isnt that punishment enough?...apparently not lol though I cant really be mad at policemen though... I know alot of them around here and theyre pretty much doing their jobs, although the suburban ones really need to find something better to do than harass people for every minor infraction...I know in the city, where i am now, you could be doing 45 on a 30 mph zone and they wont even bat an eye at you.

now my frikkin insurance is rediculous... $1100 for 6 months for a jeep grand cherokee ... fun! =P

WOOT! Thanks for resurrecting this thread ROz! I'm shopping car insurance this year and couldn't remember when I got that ticket! I knew it was off my record, but not by how much. Now I just need to get rid of the accident I caused when I backed my car into my sister in law's while it was parked in my driveway. /cries

Change your thread listing to 'last post' and 'descending'. You're looking at it alphabetically.

I don't see anything that says 'alphabetically'. I found the forum setting that say the threads are linear, with oldest first, which is how its always been, on this forum and any others I visit. Until this thread I didn't notice anything strange at all. Maybe I just had a momentary hallucination...who knows.

I went through and fixed it on my end. You should be seeing stuff chronologically from the most recent post in all the forums.

The sorting options Roz was referring to are under the thread listing under the heading "Thread Display Options." If things are still wonky, that might be worth checking out.

I had a bunch of old threads marked as new after the "go to last post" functionality was fixed, so that might also be where the weirdness came from.
