Progression EQ server

I dunno, to be honest I've never seen anything "upper end", I was always in a small guild who's biggest accomplishments were 'lower' end bosses like V-something the Shade and we farmed Kael and Skyshrine... we were through progression to about Velious level (well after PoP was released) so this wouldn't be much different for me lol

Yeah I didn't see high end content in the beginning at all. Not until after...Time opened up I think. I got into mischief when 1 guild was in there. Boy they were disgusted with the bunch of us that had a mage planted. That was cool. I never did see anguish. I enjoyed leveling up though. You love/hate high end raiding. The pressure is extreme to keep up with the other guilds, it's even worse with your guildies.

when I first started back in trinity pack .. back with Dikthaf and the like. (before the first server split) I went in thinking ... videos games are so easy ... Whats the hardest class to play? Trolls are hated everywhere and why not an SK they had penalties to leveling.

This time I would go with a wizzy again becasue of after playing masofrog ... wizzies are a damn easy character to play.

If Avatar of War is the boss that unlocks Luclin -- I'd say 2-3 months if not more is more realistic before seeing Luclin unlocked. When AoW died for the first time ever, FoH had to join in with another guild zerg style to down him and if im not mistaken, this was well after Luclin was released.

Even with todays tactics and the "know what to do alreadys" in EQ you gotta remember, your gonna be doing this stuff with the gear from that era and gear plays 50% into EQ's raid success IMO. So thats gonna mean a month+ or so of farming/questing gear hardcore and getting your guild up to par gear wise for that era before you can even think about being a top dog or even succesful. You cant be succesful in PoTime with just Vex Thal gear alone....You have to farm the EP's and get Elemental geared out for that next step of success.

Im a PoP baby (I started during the PoP era personally) and I maybe way off base on my above thinking...Maybe you can do highend Kael/Skyshrine/NtoV/WtoV/HoT/Dain/Sleepers in Kunark gear? Was there alot of farming that had to be done in order to be succesful in the highend Velious zones ?

Im no newb when it comes to any of those zones -- However, I am a newb to that era and how the "gearing up for the next step" worked. I know in PoP + gearing up played a major major role.

yeah I don't think you can do anything higher than Skyshrine in Kunark gear.. I guess it depends on whether or not they put the fabled stuff in..

Yeah i didnt either at first sebast i waited half an hour and didnt come so i went back to site and pressed accept 3 times. Then i checked my mail and i had 3 confirmations. Yeah its open beta but i think this morning was the last sighn up time.
One more thing 5 minutes of me playing into the game im lvl 2 and i have gms already bitching at me and sending me tells for flaming people in open chat for saying dumb shit.
