Say Anything.
'Say Anything' is a John Cusak/Cameron Crowe 1989 teen flick. ' A noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.' This is actually not what this thread is about, but the message is the same.
Actually no it isn't, I just like imdb.com and the title sounded interesting. /snort
This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.
So, say anything.
Next time im bored at 3am im going on DA
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Broward County school officials have locked down all schools in the county after receiving a possible threat.
According to officials, all students are safe, thanks to the county-wide lockdown. "That limits the movement of kids in schools and that makes them more safe," noted Pembroke Pines Police Capt. Dan Rakofsky.
According to Rakofsky, a woman called a radio station to say that her husband called saying he wanted to go to a school or a government building and start shooting. "Initially, we received information that a radio station received a threat indicating that a woman called in this morning saying that her husband was going to a school and start shooting," he explained.
Soon after the phone call, the same station received an email echoing those same sentiments. "We took that very seriously and all the schools were locked down," said Rakofsky.
Police have not specified what station received the threats, and the source or reason for the threat remains unknown. Police are actively searching for whoever may have called the radio station.
Until police can find the source of the threat, police are denying entry or exit to schools in Broward until further notice. Parents are asked to stay away from the schools, as no one will be allowed in or out until the threat is over.
Broward Schools Superintendent Jim Notter said the schools are on the highest lockdown alert the county has. "We are on a code red lockdown," he said. "It means that there is no exit or entrance to the school."
The dismissal hours will be the same, but if the lockdown continues up to dismissal, there will be a special, controlled release of the students, which will alter the way parents pick up their children. Should the threat continue to be a concern into dismissal time, authorities will release information regarding dismissal later in the day.
In the meantime, police assigned to the schools have blocked entrances for the safety of all those inside the buildings. Some schools even have perimeters around them, which are keeping people even further away than the front door of any school structures.
Notter explained that the lessons are going on as usual inside the schools and teachers are well trained to make the students feel comfortable in a lockdown situation. "The standard lessons continues," he said. "They do everything they can to have a calming event."
The threat was not directed at any one of the schools in particular and has resulted in the lockdown of private schools and government buildings, in addition to public schools.
Pembroke Pines first received word of the possible threat at 8:40 in the morning, Wednesday. As a precaution, all schools in the city were placed on lockdown.
At around 10:15 in the morning, Broward Schools also ordered the lock down of all schools within the county. "It was approximately a half hour after the lockdown of Pembroke Pines," Notter explained.
Pembroke Pines Police have released a phone number for those seeking information on the lockdowns: 954-GET-INFO (954-438-4636). Parents can also call the Broward School Board rumor control hot line at 754 321-0321.
Hey, dumbass. If your husband says he's going to start randomly shooting innocent children, you call THE MOTHERFUCKING PO-LICE, not a fucking radio station...
A friend of mine is bugging out because she isn't allowed to pick up her daughter from school early. $X tax dollars are being spent to cause county-wide panic attacks. Awesome.
I got a netflix membership so I could stream Glee since there's no where to steam them online just to find out I can't freaking stream it from netflix either....damn it.
I tried drawing, but the hands can't seem to do anything right now. So now I just installed DAZ and hope I can end this line of bad luck or whatever it is. I HATE being late, so every little thing is frustrating me even more right now :(
The thing that complicates it most is the blanket of leaves on the ground. That tends to make trains late, so if I go without the coat and have to wait I'll probably end up getting cold. On the other hand, coats are such a pain in the ass, and if the trains are on time, it won't be a problem.
What a non-trivial triviality.

In Europe yes. Especially in the UK, Germany usually manages to deal with leaves, in Britain they are certain the leaf will derail the train. Whereas here, the trains go in 6 foot o snow and everything.
Germany's no exception. The Deutsche Bahn goes to shit when the first leaf hits the rails.
Maybe German trains are like google chrome - fast as fuck but crash with the tiniest bump to their routine
Hahaha... They're more like Windows, though - expensive as fuck and not guaranteed to do anything useful.
I like not needing a car 99% of the time, but the DB really makes me mental from October until March.
@Pharren: They used to be normal leaves, but decades of heavy steel production in this area (Ruhrgebiet) turned them into indestructible feuilles de la mort that make trains shit their cabooses.
I went with the coat, and I'm glad I did. It got stupidly windy and I ended up having to walk a long way from the math building (woot woot) to the comp. sci. building (.8 woot woot) and from there to work (.14 woot). Then it started raining and everyone got sad. Also, fuck the Deutsche Bahn. KEKEKEK

Pharren did everything work out with your friend?
Yes, but - shockingly - they never caught the guy... if he ever existed.
