This is not necessarily a vent thread - far from it. This is about saying anything - weather, the bird outside your work window, the fundamental differences between Mormons and catholics, how Law and Order Criminal Intent doesn't get the props it deserves, that I always forget whether it's 'it's' or 'its', that my daughter has a beautiful smile and the first guy that breaks her heart - I'm breaking his knees...it's about anything.

Don't feel too bad Roz... I'm only 32, and my oldest is 13 .... It's scary having a teen... I'll have 2 in about a year!! in fact.. the way my kids are spaced.. I'll have teens for at least 16 years ... *cries*

I wouldn't have allowed Jen to go over there if there hadn't been an adult. I trust her completely and I'm coming to trust this kid as I get to know him, but I'll never know him well enough to be able to allow her to go over there for several hours adult-less, in this age of curiosity and experimenting. I'm not in any kind of a rush to be a grandma, to be sure.
This soap opera is getting good; Jen got a text from him last night that said "just wanna say nite & i luv u" :omg I about freaked when she showed me...

The most rebellious thing I did was get my tongue peirced and dye my hair bright red lol. My mum was sooo overprotective in some ways, but liberal in others, it was weird. Although the fact that she is really wanting grandchildren is probably a factor lol...

I'm sorry Darsa. They grow up so damn fast :( CeCe's almost 11 but I don't worry much about her and boys she isn't that interested yet. I worry about Kami in a few years! Erik was reading over my shoulder and said "You know you're going to be a grandma before you're 40 right?" =(

I knew then where Catherine developed her talent for snarky tude-ness. Still, it was nutty and just...GOD GOOD!

I can't find any good presents for the girls :( They made lists and I got what was on their lists. 5 items each so far, but CeCe's birthday is on the 20th so I need to find extra stuff for her and her interests are very specific! Unicorns! I bought all unicorn related matter. Now I'm stuck and I want to order all this stuff today! I don't want to be the shite parent that gets their kids a pile of books for their birthday/christmas. Eeeeeep!

I heard an ad on the radio yesterday about the "stars" of that adult pirate movie will be making an appearance at the new adult bookstore in Fairbanks. As exciting as that may be, its pretty sad when there is so much nothing going on in your town that news like that makes it on the radio....
