That's what I thought too, when I saw this as previews in the theater last week. But really...after the last Godzilla fiasco, that wasn't that long ago, do you really think they'd try again?

New trailer that was released yesterday. Looks like its Blair Witch meets big monster - I'm not thrilled about this reality type movie making. The trailer really doesn't pique my curiosity at all.

Ooh, but what if the monster picks up a camera and documents himself trashing the city?
I'd totally forgive the wobbly camerawork if the monster was responsible. Especially if it affected a faux-British accent on top of the unintelligible snarls, growls, and bloodcurdling/eardrum-popping mating calls. Of course, then you'd have purists nitpicking about whether or not RARNORGL should have a U after the O.

I'm curious about the scene with the two guys in haz mat suits holding the chick that looks like she's exploding. If there's some sort of alien virus twist story, I'd be interested. If its Godzilla on crack - well I'd watch Godzilla on crack then.

Looks like there's some new stuff in the trailer there. And a good little clip on the "Grab this widget" thing underneath.
I'll definately have to see this after all the teasing trailers. But I agree with Vex... if I don't see a lot of this creature in the movie I'm gonna be upset, especially after put up with the annoying bouncing camera :P

They need a widely recognized coastal city because they typically come from the water. NYC also has more of a national symbol in the Statue of Liberty than the other big cities. San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, Seattle's Space Needle, DC isn't coastal enough...

Philly isn't coastal enough either, so I'm not too worried about Impending Space or Creature Doom (TM).
As far as the shaky camera, from what I understand they wanted to continue the initial teaser's motif of the camera being held by an actual participant in the disaster.
That said, I don't have much desire to see this.
