I made laney cry...is that good or bad? lol :ghug I'm really proud of this piece, the emote just stunned the hell out of me when I got it. I listed the tutorial for the red planet on NS. Here's what I posted, wanted to include my long ass winded speech here too.

Veirna helped a lot with this piece, as with all my work she's given me kick ass c/c. She even went as far as to do orange highlighting on the piece and send me the psd file to see. I got it to work on that file but when i tried it on my file, alas i couldnt duplicate. =/ Nonetheless she pushes me to be anal retentive on details and has always helped me progress =) Thanks to tethax for his kind words as well. During our 'OMFG ITS THE NORTHERN LIGHTS - QUICK RUN OUTSIDE!' aim discussion, he encouraged me greatly with my work by defining what a good manip'er is vs a great one. =)

I used a red planet (used as a fire ball) tutorial from Nathan Ng - Tutorial Outpost] Easiest damn thing that came out beautifully. He wanted a red hot fireball in his hand and at the last minute i got my eye candy reinstalled to use the fire filter on it. Lordy I tried doing fire tutorials but it was horrible =(

I cheated with the hair, did it with my mouse =x. Sometimes its just faster to use. Veirna showed me yet another trick that i tried to incorporate. Lassoing the hair section and smudging, but again I couldnt duplicate her amazing work. I'm not that pleased with the end result of the hair but after the first 2 versions, i was pooped and the client loved it.

Wow that's long winded hehe. Its 99.99 percent client approved but I welcome c/c 4.9 for future endeavors. :oops
