Just an observation...after looking at his online portfolio site [link] noticed, that although the 2 "renders" in question would be by far his most stunning and realistic works of ANY of the works he has done...those 2 aren't on his portfolio site...hmmm....
The ones he does have on his portfolio site however I think are awesome...and you can tell they are 3d..dunno why it's such a freakin big deal to admit the other 2 aren't, hell even if they are photomanips, they are still really good...pfft
And this is to Bruce...we are not saying you aren't talented man...you are amazingly talented...if my 3d work ever looked half as good as your 3d work, I would be in heaven...I just have issues with those 2...the rest of your work is stunning.
And as for accusing me and several other people of trying to garner pageviews...I could care less if I have any pageviews, I put my work up here because I am proud of what I do...and because I love what I do...if other see it, ok..if not, then I can come and look at it and enjoy it..no biggie..and if you look at my pageviews...lmao...I have been on here for about a year and still have very few..I aint lookin to garner pageviews...I am here for love of art...plain and simple..

I agree with you. Before starting this thread I reviewed his online portfolio and it seemed to me very strange that none of his most realistic "renders" have been uploaded to his own web. It is very strange.Reply

As mentioned prior - its not strange - it's called time management. I had to do 50 images for my new book - updating my website fell by the wayside. Since you seem so concerned I'll let you know when I update it. :lolReply

Thanks for the compliments. I actually didn't accuse you of trying to garner pageviews - I didn't even think of that ...lol.That said, I must admit Im negligent of updating my website - which will be done shortly. I've had to do a massive output of work for my aforementioned second book.
Again, I've never said I don't do combo work of 3D, 2D and photomanip - Im not trying to hide it. Furthermore, if I did do nothing but photomanips I would admit that too. I love photomanips! However what is getting my panties in a bind is Eros accusation of my just doing photomanips. Which again, I assure you is not how I do things. I've said this many times before and for the record here it is: I start of the design with a pencil sketch for comp, light source. I use poser figs and sometimes do my own objects in maya (though this is rare since my knowledge of may is rudimentary at best). Ill design everthing in Vue including rendering. Ill finish it off in photoshop. Which includes photmanipping hair and (sometimes) clothing. I rework the figures, repaint them etc. Lastly (if needed) ill do some postwork in mayapaint, or particle illusions.
Now, if Im being so completely honest in my approach - why would I have to lie about anything? As I've said many times, people can like my work for what it is or not. But at the very least give my my credit for doing what is I do accurately.
For picture perfect: hair, bottom face and bra - photo - the rest is 3D and 2d.
For guns and roses - hair is manip - the rest is 3D and 2D.
I should think that clears up things yes?

yes, but I think you should really note this on the pictures in question...
If you are using anyone elses work as a part of yours, you should give credit...otherwise it leads people to believe that the "whole" work is purely yours...which isn't right ethically
