2007 Holiday Phat Lewt post

I got something I did not want at all. I got the flu, which degraded into bronchitis....sigh.

I did get some cool things, I got gift cards, which are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I also got a recumbent exercise bike, which is just what I wanted, it has a slot for your iPod. Now, I need to get an iPod

I got some seriously kickass pillows, a couple of internet-y tee shirts from thinkgeek, a big assed toaster oven, and a fuckton of movies, music, and books, along with a target gift card and good smelling stuff.

The kid got a great haul of new clothes, a wonderful classical music collection, some books, some girly good smelling stuff, a good stack of board games, a new purse, tea sets, a barbie doll and clothes, and lots of earrings. It was hard not to play with her toys and stuff :X.

Oooohh...Billie!! Which Barbie did you get? I collect dolls, though its my daughter who collects Barbies.

I got a SS heart pendant, SS hoops, gold hoops, 2 bottles of Euphoria perfume, plus a huge bottle of lotion, four bath towel sets, and a $500 addition to my savings acct.(my mom often deposits $ into our accts.) Also got a $150 gift card for the mall, to pick up my new hair iron.

Let's see... the big present was an 80GB Zune from Mylec Then also got a wolf calendar, Terry Goodkind's last book, Confessor.. one awesome smelling candle - Chris Madden Mandarin & Chassis, from JCPenny's...cash, and more cash

Poor Mylec had to run around today to exchange the first Zune he gave me... the screen got all funky bout halfway thru the first time syncing it. Now the new one is syncing away, up to 15GB on it already and over 2k song still to go. Of course I'm putting every song we have on a hard drive on it, lol.

I came home today to a Fed Ex package. I opened it up, and out spilled a bunch of beautiful little sketch books:



The paper says "Just because and artist needs choices. Happy New Year!" It's the most beautiful gift I've received. It was unsigned, but I know who gave it to me because not even my family had been interested in getting my address. I cried when I opened it.

I got a neat little digital camera, some beautiful mystic fire jewelry, tons of sweets (apparantly the crew is determined I gain weight somehow!!), some neat smithsonian amber earrings, a couples of t-shirts (one of which is pink. and I have actually worn the damn thing already. yikes! the things i do to make people happy!!!) and misc other goodies...

The kiddo got Cars (from the movie) which is his number one passion. He got the toys, a blanket, a stuffed Lightning McQueen, coloring books (thank god for color wonder stuffs!!) bath stuff... the list goes on. But all have Cars on them. His auntie got him a jungle gym, which he did not find out about til last night - have to see if I can figure out how to post the video of him playing on it!! (we were out of town for christmas day itself and just got back yesterday!)

Lets see about 2k in cash from my parents which was spent already on fixing the car and this new laptop for school. The girlfriend gave me the magic bullet since I like to cook and had asked for one. I got a couple bottles of wine from my dads girlfriend and my stepfather gave me a Garmin GPS.

Ah, a quick google and I quickly learned that the magic bullet was -not-, in fact, what I thought it was!

Den, I bought her the Pet Sitter Barbie because it came with lots of cute little plastic pets and I figured if she wanted a Barbie in a pretty dress, we could buy her some clothes. I'm not really a Barbie collection expert or anything, though I loved Barbie when I was a kid. I remembered always being low on Ken dolls (which meant that the relationships in Barbie land were...complicated, and the girls fought dirty) so I offered to buy the kid one, but she had no interest in letting boys into her Barbie domain.

ROFL - I can only imagine.

I bought one of those for my mom last Christmas, because she wanted it...and I've used it more than she has :P However, I have to say I prefer the food processor, blender, and emulsifier more.




lol - I love those little pets too...I have a Barbie pet spider sitting on my dash board. Well...it is PINK!

So now I can scan in all the ultrasounds of David and school pictures of Catherine =D

I got some movies, I got a bling ring from Catherine that I wore all day Xmas - until it threatened to turn my finger green and some fun gift cards. I got some t-shirts from my mother in law, granted neither one I can actually fit into now. O_o I heard mike on the phone with his mom.

'Yeah she got them....no, they probably won't fit now.' /snort

I got $250 in cash from the Uncle (gonna get me new clothes and a bigger hard drive now w00t!), a Target gift card from the MIL and X got me an hour & a half massage gift certificate, the Buffy the Musical episode soundtrack album I'd wanted, a neat book (he thought it was part of the series I'm reading and it's not.. but it does look interesting!) and he also got me the DVD of the Blade TV series premier episode to make up for the book not being right. *giggle*
