next event

its been forever but roz has been incredibly busy the last few months so we haven't had much opportunity to brainstorm for one. when she catches a minute we'll work out something and hopefully get it up within the next month or two =)

Yeah it's been a slow year, sorry about that. Both Verileah and I are in the middle of buying/selling houses and my internet has been really sporadic - plus having David. But yeah - what Vex said =D Glad you're excited to have one though!

Maybe some of us others can host one? Let you lot have a break for your RL stuff then you'll be fresh for summer/autumn one?

ah ya I was in the same boat last year around this time selling a house and buying one. well I am crazy busy like usual LOL but I agree maybe a couple of us can pitch in and help out if needed. What we need now is a good theme. I was kinda in the mood for some more fantasy roles. Like maybe a mystical or dark creature or witchy type of thing where you need a back story. Example: vamps, werewolves/lycans (sp?), zombies, witches ect? something with fantastic magic/spells or moonlighted glens hehe maybe all the pretty pink fairy commissions are starting to drive me batty hahahaha I swear I think every commission so far the past 6months have involved either sparkly wings or pink flowers *yep just checked pretty much they have! LOL*

If y'all have ideas that's awesome. Keep in mind we'd need:

an idea (der, hehe)
Banners/sigs - advertising

The latter being a big part. We plug the hell out of our events - deviantart.com, studiommo.com and where ever else ya'll might han gout that is artsy.

what about twisted fairy tails.. like your basic grimms type tales ( red riding hood, goldilocks, rapunzel etc) with some twist? maybe? too much like storybook theme? i dunno ><

Anyway Im up for almost anything, Id just be excited to have something to play with

Last event, the storybook exchange, you didnt get to participate. you had said you wanted to do something with Alice though..

So had I had time, I would have done something for you after my exchange was done, your Alice being the character, "Alice in wonderland " being the storybook, unfortunately that was all the same time my hubby quit his job and we were packing to move and I just couldnt make the time to do it

I thought of of kinda Once upon a Wish / Dream kinda thing.

I mean, as kids (and even some of us as adults) you always wish you are something else. What did you wish to be? What did you imagine yourself being while you daydreamed at school? Could have it as either an exchange or a kinda contest thing, I dunno.

I actually have a copy of the Grimm Fairy Tales. I've read a few, really need to read more. That book is thick! LoL Would be a good topic for an exchange, tho I think. Pick your fav char from one of the tales and run with it
