Speaking of which, I asked this on another forum, but before I pay $50 for the game, I just want to clarify...can this game be 100% mouse driven?
And what is the monthly subscription amount? I checked all over the website and couldn't find the answer.

Soon as I get back to Jersey I'll be playing this. Xanithor#2(for those that remember) plays it and says its really tits so I am gonna give it a go.

you need your keyboard to type (:P ) and to change your shields.

combat would also be nearly impossible if you didnt use your arrow keys to move around.

You could do both in wow.

Yes, you can in wow...but I don't. When I played Hellgate I had to use both the mouse and the arrow keys, and eventually got used to it, but I've also tried other games where manipulating the characters was just too difficult to do - for me at least - and if I get frustrated I'll just end up tossing the game, which is why I don't want to spend $50 until I'm relatively sure I'll be able to play it well enough to get by.

Sure wish they had a demo to download...:P

As for movement you can definitely do all mouse work. You can also click on your attacks and spells solely with the mouse if you want. Most games have the options of WASD, directional keys, number lock keypad directional keys AND mouse dual button press to move. I think only DDO had the crazy WASD only movement, but I haven't played that in ages so my memory could be faulty!

And I am so excited so many of you are on Wiccanna! YAY! If no one minds I will start adding to my friends list and sending tells for grouping.

Im on Wildsoul (EU) as Sidheag. I think it worked out a little cheaper than EQ per month actually.

Well, I did buy it last night, installed it, patched it, went to play it...nada.
Got some random error message, but have been told that should be taken care of if I update my drivers and DirectX. So tonight I'll do that, and see.

I plan to play on Wiccan, so if I do get on, I'll add everyone from there too.

just saying this combat system isn't like wow, you dont just stand there and hit auto attack and throw some specials.

your melee attacks are cones, and you dont need anything targeted to fight.

you will probably die a lot because a huge part of survivability is positioning yourself fast so you can damage your targets at the same time. single target killing 1 while you have 3 on you will generally mean you're dead unless they're a few levels below you.

to play effectively i believe you'd need to use the keyboard arrows/wsad to move around while fighting. just running through the world, yeah you can start stop turn and autorun with the mouse. but actual gameplay i think needs a keyboard. otherwise i think you'll just end up getting frustrated from being dead all the time.

i turned autoface / auto target off and my deaths went from every 10mins to maybe once a level. all from just being able to kill my targets at the same time.

You all should have kept playing EQ. You would be uber by now!
