Yeah, some fucker kept trying to duel me on my first day. Very annoying, but you have the option to decline which is nice.

mae there are soo many UI addons that make WoW soo much better, you might get a kick out of Karma.. it allows you to basicially give everyone a karma rating, good or bad and can take info down on that person.. like that guy that wanted to duel you 20 times. and you can set it up so you insta decline everything from him, invites, duels, trades as well as ignore him in chat. http://ui.worldofwar.net is where you can get everything.. i recommend gypsymod and telo's side bar.. but ive got soo many addons runnin it looks like a different game.

Flexbar is also useful.

I am thinking of going to the store to buy something new. I really miss playing the war strategy games I used to play.

Get the old Axis and Allies game from Hasbro (1998) you'll have to use ebay its about 7 bucks ;p

I have the Axis and Allies I love it !! we used to play that and risk all the time in college.

CT mod is the best UI I have found so far. I'd use Cosmos, but for some reason it'd make me go LD all the damn time. So I dropped it and switched to CT mod.

I haven't really done as much research into UIs that I should...I wouldn't mind a quick recommendation...Cosmos is always so screwy.

I think the difference between PVP and PVE on this game is hardly noticeable. You can get ganked through a variety of different little bugs in the game even if you're not on a PVP server. Might as well add to the excitement by being able to kill. PVP isn't hard...I've taken down more then my fair share of alliance and normally I suck at PVP in other games ;) It sucks to get ganked a lot...but that's why you always have a buddy!

I just wish everyone could/would play on the same bloody server so I didn't have to keep server jumping to hang with friends :( And I keep making new friends...I don't want any new friends...I want all my old crew on one server again!! :(

Anyway, I guess I'm gonna start up a House of Funk on Tichondrius, horde side, when I stop server jumping.

My fiance asked me to buy him WoW and chances are he'll want me to play too. So I'll need to decide on a server. I want to play a night elf but I know he'll pick one of the evil guys >_<

Several of my friends that left EQ are playing WoW. They bug my to come join them but I am still having to much fun in EQ. Not to mention since Im a fairly hardcore gamer I would max out to fast and get bored I think. =/

That was EXACTLY my problem. All of my male friends went horde and all of their wives/girlfriends were all "can't we be pretty??!" Undead are the prettiest of the horde females imo...but there are some not so bad trolls. Orc women are just ugly as hell but they can dance like you wouldn't believe ;)

You'll just have to compromise. If it's an evil night play on Tichondrius (with me *cough*). If it's a good night, play on Laughing Skull (with me *cough*). It's not like EQ2 where the time investment to get to level 20 is such that you never want to try to play anything else. And honestly, you'll want to try to see all the zones...the areas are so beautiful. I can't stress enough that it's a mistake to think of WoW in terms of EQ or EQ2...its' simply not the same. Try a few different types of characters and then decide what suits you best.

There is the one thing about PVP though...whatever side you choose first, you tend to get attached to..at least for me. So even when I'm playing Alliance, and I see a bunch of horde ganking some alliance newb, I cheer inside...cause I've been killed by Alliance enough to wish their whole team harm.

LOL Well, I played a bit in the beta so I have a pretty good idea of the game. I just like to be a good guy. =/

And actually, good-ness of the Alliance or bad-ness of the Horde is debatable from multiple different angles.

I personally don't like the Horde because I find it extremely difficult to navigate a lot of their lands (danged colorblindness). I understand the Tauren have an awesome storyline, I just can't see well enough in three quarters of the places I'd need to go to do very much.

Yeah I can see how that would be a problem. You're right about the perspective of good alliance...certainly warlocks are not considered good from any angle of the game as far as the story line goes about going too far into the dark arts etc.
