The price of gas.
Over the summer gas peaked, in some places, at almost $5.00 a gallon. In California this July it was $4.80 and it cost over 90 dollars to fill our jeep, and that wasn't to completely fill it. Most gas stations capped at 75 dollars. There were those who said gas could top $200 a barrel and now they're saying it could bottom out to $50 dollars. At the beginning of Bush's presidency, it was at $34 dollars. Oil companies are cutting back oil production by a million barrels to help alleviate the drop. (fuckers)
Today, in Tacoma Washington, October 25th, you can find it for: $2.59.

The lowest we've dropped is $2.93, so far. But yea, I heard they're cutting back on production to stop the drop.

god forbid we have affordable gas.
i remember this gas station as a kid, was called like union 98? or 89? at any rate, thats how much it cost per gallon of gas~ and it wasn't even self serve.

Yea...well when I started driving you could get gas for 25 cents a gallon during a gas war. Cigarettes were 25 cents a pack too.
But I didn't have to walk through the snow for five miles to get to school :P

I'm happy. Gas here atm is $1.15 a litre. I have no idea if that is good or bad, but its at least half the price I'm accustomed to. I get paid the same hourly rate here as I did in Scotland but it goes sooo much further here lol. I'm driving my bosses Chevy Avalanche truck til I get my own vehicle, and I've put $60 in it 3 times in the last week and I still have money in my wallet.
Although, I would have more in my purse if people didnt see the truck when I am delivering pizza cos they don't tip me so much when they think I am rich enough to have a $34k truck :S

2.35 at several stations this morning.
I paid 30 bucks to fill my car with 2.41 on Friday.
I remember the summer of 98 I was paying 95 cents a gallon doing overnights for my job.

I saw 5.39 in a long stretch of desert in California this summer. When I bought my car in 1998 I could get gas in NC for 79 cents a gallon. That really isn't even that long ago.

2.19 at my local gas station here in Ohio. We get 10 cents off a gallon for a fillup for evey 100.00 we spend a month in groceries... so it was 2.09 to fill my saturn. It made me happy ^^

I've changed my mind. While gas is half the price I am used to, $300 gas in less than two weeks is ridiculous! Bloody gas guzzling truck. Can't wait to get my own car.
